Former Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry has never been one to shy away from telling it like it is — even when it comes to her own personal and very difficult experiences. In a new TikTok video that she shared this week, Kail opened up about her biggest traumas while contributing to a viral trend on the app, and it's eye-opening (and heartbreaking) for fans to hear about everything she's been through.

Kail participated in the 'candy salad trauma' trend.
If you haven't seen a video like this on TikTok yet, people in a friend group or a family each choose a candy to bring to combine into one bowl to create a candy salad. As they dump their contribution into the bowl, they share a traumatic experience they've faced, bringing a little light to topics that are often very hard to talk about.
For her video, however, Kail chose to participate solo, bringing all the candy (and all the trauma) herself.
She shared her own traumatic experiences, starting from the time she was 6 months old.
She started off strong, saying at the beginning of the video, "My name is Kail. When I was 6 months old, I was kidnapped, brought to Texas, and my mom found me in the hospital with pneumonia and I brought the Swedish Fish."
The next piece of trauma she shared happened when she was 9 years old and woke up with "a strange man" in her bed.
Kail also shared the story of how she lost her virginity.
Even though many fans know a lot about Kail's traumatic childhood from watching Teen Mom, this piece of information isn't something she's talked about very often.
"When I was 14 years old I lost my virginity on a sidewalk without even knowing what sex was," she said.

Commenters were heartbroken for her but proud of her, too.
Although some people voiced that they hoped this video would help others understand her better, even more praised her for "breaking the cycle" with her own kids.
One commenter wrote, "And this is why I absolutely love you for how you're giving your babies the childhood you deserved to have. You didn't let any of that break you!"
Kailyn has definitely come a long way.
We've watched her grow up on MTV despite all of those traumas, and now she's a mom to seven little ones of her own.
Still, we hope she knows that baby Kail didn't deserve to go through any of that. It's great to see how happy she is today after witnessing the journey she had to make to get here.
