Kanye West Accused of Punching Man He Says Sexually Assaulted His Wife Bianca Censori

Kanye West is under investigation for allegedly punching a man who he claims sexually assaulted his wife Bianca Censori. This is not the first time that Kanye, who now goes by Ye, has had a run-in with the law for this type of accusation. Last year, he was investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department for an altercation with a woman who was apparently filming him. Ye is known for having a fairly volatile personality, which has only gotten worse in recent years, especially after his divorce from Kim Kardashian. Now, it seems that he's found himself in hot water again.

It seems that Ye may have been defending his wife.

TMZ was the first to report that Ye was named as the suspect on a battery report, with the LAPD investigating if he actually hit the man he accused of grabbing or pushing Bianca earlier this week. Despite Ye’s alleged assault, the man did not need any medical attention after the altercation, according to the news outlet.

Ye's reps released a statement.

Although it was initially reported that the man "grabbed or pushed" Bianca, a rep for Ye claimed it was much more.

"‘Grabbed’ is grossly inadequate as a description of what happened. Bianca was physically assaulted," the statement, released to multiple news outlets, claimed. "The assailant didn’t merely collide into her. He put his hands under her dress, directly on her body, he grabbed her waist, he spun her around, and then he blew her kisses. She was battered and sexually assaulted."

According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, police have not formally announced charges against Ye or the man he allegedly punched. Additionally, police did not say where the altercation took place.

When the news outlet reached out to the LAPD, the department confirmed that it had taken a report of a man repeatedly punching another man at popular celebrity hangout Chateau Marmont, but the department was not able to confirm if Ye was involved.

Ye was under investigation for assault just last year.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Ye has been accused of assault. Back in January 2023, he was under investigation for apparently throwing the phone of a woman who was filming him into the street. TMZ shared footage of the incident. When Ye noticed the woman filming him, he approached her car at a stoplight to speak with her.

"Y’all ain’t gonna run up on me like that," he warned her. "If I say stop, stop with your cameras."

The woman even sued him.

After the incident, the photographer, Nichol Lechmanik, sued Ye, claiming that she was "traumatized and humiliated" and feared for her life. Additionally, she claimed that by not having her phone, she lost out on income. She sued Ye for assault, battery, and negligence and is seeking an injunction to keep him from interacting with any photographers.

She also filed a police report, and the police did look into the incident but eventually cleared Ye of any charges. According to the officials, her phone wasn’t broken when it was thrown, and her phone case only had minimal damage.
