What to Know
For some of those in Donald Trump’s inner circle, the only thing worse than being a Bad Bunny fan is being a secret Bad Bunny fan, so press secretary Karoline Leavitt‘s days are numbered in the White House. Alright, probably not. However, now that people are convinced she is secretly a fan of Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, aka Bad Bunny, himself, it’s not a good look for her.
This is the same Trump bestie who condemned the Super Bowl halftime show because of Bad Bunny as the main performer. She has also spoken out in favor of mass ICE deportations across the United States. So why did Leavitt share an Instagram post with one of Bad Bunny’s songs in the background? That’s what we all want to know now, sis.
Karoline Leavitt used part of a Bad Bunny song on Instagram.
When Leavitt posted a video montage of 2025 as an Instagram Reel, the music in the background featured part of several songs, including “DtMF” by Bad Bunny. She wrote in the caption, “2025, wow! What a year. Married the love of my life, moved our little family to DC, conquered one year on the job as White House Press Secretary, traveled the world with the President of the United States, made lifelong memories with coworkers who have become family, and most importantly, soaked up every second watching my little baby boy grow into a toddler.”
Leavitt also gave a shout-out to Jesus, because whether or not she’s a fan of evil leftist music, she is still a daughter of Christ, thank you very much. But the focus for many was the song choice. While the mashup includes snippets of songs from other artists, it’s hard to just dismiss the familiar sound of Bad Bunny’s voice and lyrics at the start of the montage. Leavitt most likely didn’t even realize the song choice, but she still kept the video up.
Now, people are trolling her hard about being a “secret” Bad Bunny fan.
“Bad Bunny? How ironic,” someone commented on Leavitt’s post. Another wrote, “Not her using Bad Bunny on her stuff.”
A Leavitt hater posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Don’t let Karoline Leavitt fool you, she’s a secret Bad Bunny fan even though she dissed him for Super Bowl performance.”
Someone else posted on X that, because of Leavitt’s use of the song on Instagram, albeit in a mashup with other songs, “All this nonsense proves that politics is all BS. People say what they need to say to get their clicks, elevate their party, and push their narrative. Karoline Leavitt is a hypocrite and nothing she says should ever be taken seriously. She is a child, and a fraud.”
Is Leavitt actually secretly a Bad Bunny fan? She could certainly enjoy his music while hating him, because something tells me that hypocrisy isn’t really high up there on the things she minds being called out for. Regardless, actual Bad Bunny fans are having fun trolling her about it.
