Earlier in September, Kate Middleton revealed that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment after she was diagnosed with cancer this year, but since then, the Princess of Wales has remained pretty quiet. But now that her brother, James Middleton, has been making appearances to promote his new memoir, he’s opening up about his sister’s health in a new interview.

James appeared on 'Today' this week.
Though he was there to talk about his new memoir, Meet Ella, it’s no surprise that he was asked about his sister; after all, Kate is the future queen of England.
While he did say that she is “OK,” he didn’t offer much more than that.
“It’s not for me to share on her behalf, you know, how everything’s going,” he said. “But she’s getting all the right support and focus that she needs. And like anything, it takes time to process.”
He also mentioned how supportive Prince William and Kate have been.
His book largely focuses on his mental health journey — something that he said Kate and William have helped him with along the way.
“Catherine and William had both been involved in mental health charities and works of which I got help from,” he said. “They were a fantastic bridge for the family, for me to be able to translate how I was feeling. The whole process has brought us closer, in many ways.”
James has been supportive of Kate throughout her cancer journey in return.
Kate first shared her cancer diagnosis in March, a discovery she said doctors made during what was meant to be a routine abdominal surgery in January. Once the news was out, James took to Instagram to share a childhood photo of him and his sister.
“Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too,” he wrote at the time.

Kate revealed on September 9 that she was finished with chemotherapy.
She shared the big news in a video she shared on social media — one that featured rare, personal glimpses of her family, including kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Kate said in the video. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
James has never been shy when it comes to bragging about his sister.
During a July 2023 appearance on Good Morning Britain, James gushed over Kate and the way she was settling into her new title as the Princess of Wales.
“I’m extremely proud and I’m always taken aback by how much she does do, and that continues to stay at the forefront of my mind,” he said at the time. “To see her blossoming in that role … I’m very proud of her.”
