Kate Middleton Reveals She Finished Chemo Treatment in Emotional New Video

Nearly six months after Kate Middleton revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer, she's back with another important update: she is now done with chemotherapy. In a video shared on the royals' official social media accounts, Kate not only gave the public a positive update on her health, but she also revealed sweet, intimate footage of her family spending time together (including George, Charlotte, and Louis) in a way that we so rarely get to see.

The video was filmed near the family's country home, Anmer Hall.

According to People, the footage shown in the new video shared by the Princess of Wales was shot in Norfolk last month.

As the video begins, Kate can be heard saying, "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment."

Kate said the experience has brought her closer to her 'own vulnerabilities.'

She went on to say that she's had the chance to think about what's really important in her life.

"This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved," Kate continued.

Now, Kate says she's focused on 'doing what I can to stay cancer free.'

Just because she's done with chemotherapy doesn't mean that she's done recovering from what sounds like has been a truly stressful health scare.

"Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes," Kate said in the video.

We'll be seeing more of the princess soon.

"I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can," Kate said. "Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life."

It's good to hear that she's feeling well enough to start making appearances again — there's no doubt people will be glad to see her out and about.

She and William seem as happy as ever, too.

Despite rumors that Will and Kate's marriage has been on the rocks, they seem to be very much in love in this video, which includes plenty of shots of the couple exchanging cheek kisses and wrapping their arms around each other.

Kate ended the video by thanking everyone for their support.

"Everyone’s kindness, empathy, and compassion has been truly humbling," she said. "To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light so let that light shine bright."
