Kelly Clarkson Says She ‘Loves Losing Weight’ After Debuting Her New Look

Kelly Clarkson is looking a bit different these days, and this celebrity is one who isn't too shy to talk about weight loss with her fans. During an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show that aired earlier this week, Kelly addressed her recent 40-pound loss while chatting with Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush. Not only did she open up about the weight fluctuations she's experienced over the years, but the American Idol singer also admitted that she "loves losing weight."

Twins Jenna and Barbara appeared on Kelly's show on Monday.

Together, they chatted about their "chubby" phase, though Kelly was quick to tell them that she didn't think that word applied to them, adding, "I don’t think you know what chubby is."

But that conversation led Kelly to share that she could understand where Jenna was coming from because she'd had "many stages" where she was uncomfortable with her weight in her life.

Kelly admitted she's a fan of dropping pounds.

There's just one problem: Weight loss doesn't necessarily change your body's shape, so Kelly did say it can make it harder to shop.

"I love losing weight, but here’s the thing. Jeans are so hard when you have a butt and a smaller waist," Kelly said.

Plenty of people can relate to the struggle of finding a perfect pair of jeans that actually fits just right!

Kelly seems to have lost a lot of weight in a relatively short time.

Although some fans have speculated that Kelly must be using a weight loss medication such as Ozempic, sources close to the 41-year-old mom of two swear that's not the case.

"She’s limited her sugar and carb intake. She’s cut out soda, chips, biscuits, cheese and tortillas. And she’s added exercise, mostly cardio, into her weekly routine. She’s lost about 40 pounds. She feels amazing," one insider recently told Life & Style.

Kelly, Jenna, and Barbara also talked about parenthood.

Another thing these ladies have in common is that they're all parents. Jenna has three children — Mila, Poppy, and Hal — while Barbara is mom to a 2-year-old, Cora. Kelly's daughter, River Rose, is 9, and her son, Remington, is 7.

On the show, Kelly joked about the toddler years, warning Barbara that if Cora doesn't hit the "terrible twos," that means she's going to be a "threenager" instead.

It sounds like Kelly is happy with her body right now.

And in the end, isn't that all that matters?

Bodies change, and most people will experience weight fluctuations for at least part of their lives. Good for Kelly for being so open about talking about what this has been like for her — there's no doubt that plenty of people can relate.
