Some people think planning for your funeral while you’re still alive is morbid. But for others, it’s an assurance that their wishes — both big and small — will be honored even after their death. One of those people is Kelly Ripa, who recently shared that she has had her funeral dress picked out for years. Why? Because she doesn’t trust her husband Mark Consuelos to pick something out that makes her look good. The couple, who cohost Live With Kelly & Mark, discussed Kelly's fears this week on their show. According to Kelly, Mark's questionable fashion choices in the past left her no other option.

Kelly doesn't think her husband can pull off her funeral the way she wants.
"I’m so fearful if he has to eulogize me," Kelly said of her husband of 27 years. "First of all, at the funeral, it’ll be a buffet of all my least-favorite things. It’ll be deviled eggs, it’ll be chicken wings, it’ll be glasses of milk."
She told Mark that he didn't have to worry about her funeral outfit.
Mark took the opportunity to tease her, saying, "Hey, watch out because I’m going to have to dress you as well. You better be nice now, or I’m going to put you in something crazy!"
But Kelly quickly put her husband in his place. "Let me remind you where the outfit hangs. It is labeled and Lauren knows about it. It’s a Dolce & Gabbana black dress. It’s 10 years old. It’s elegant, it’s gorgeous, it’s black, it’s adorable."
Kelly has a good reason for being skeptical of Mark's choices.
Back in 2016, Kelly explained why she had to choose her own funeral clothes to her then-cohost Michael Strahan.
She explained that shortly after she had given birth to her first child, she passed out and Mark called 911, leading to one of his most controversial fashion choices ever.

The outfit he chose was truly horrific.
"I was naked when I passed out," Kelly explained. "And in that time, he dressed me. And as they were putting me on a stretcher I remember pulling the sheet over my head because I didn't want people to see me dressed this way."
"They kept pulling the sheet down, that means you're dead. And I'm like, 'please, I would rather be dead right now,'" she continued.
Mark had dressed her in a green leotard, black breakaway pants, and a pair of red pumps. Yes, it was an emergency situation, but was this the best he could do?
What happened next is hilarious.
Kelly explained that she was feeling perfectly fine when she got to the hospital, but they rushed her through the emergency room to see a doctor immediately. The doctor told her that when a patient comes in, they do a "visual evaluation" of the person.
"The nurses determined that I must have been unconscious at some point because of the way I was dressed," she confessed. "That's why I picked out my funeral clothes."
Can't blame her!
