Fans and critics are trying to read between the lines after Khloé Kardashian shared several quotes to social media. The most recent quotes, one that touches on “regrets,” is being attributed as a response to earlier critiques the Kardashian sister received on social media related to her big sister, Kourtney Kardashian’s, recent medical scare.
A big medical scare happened in the Kardashian family recently with Kourtney’s pregnancy.
Earlier this week, people were concerned after Kourtney’s husband, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, announced he was leaving his tour to head home for a “family emergency.” Knowing Kourtney is pregnant with their kiddo, fans were hoping all was OK with their baby.
The Kardashians kept pretty quiet about what was going on, which was unusual for a family that shares so much.
A few days later, Kourtney took to social media to share a bit about what happened.
“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock,” Kourtney shared.
She also took a moment to thank her mom, writing, “And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”
Absent from the thank you note was any message to her sisters, and they weren’t sharing anything either.
There wasn’t much news coming from any of Kourtney’s sisters on social media, and given how often they post, it was unusual. But after Kourtney shared her thank you post, Khloé shared an unrelated post on Instagram.
There were some fans who didn’t take it well.
“Not one post from. anyone in your family about wishing Kourtney well with what she has gone through,” one fan wrote. “No love there. If that were my sister I would be right by he[r] side. Sad!”
Another replied, adding, 'I agree with you. No wonder Kourtney wants to get away from these self-absorbed Muppets.'
According to the U.S. Sun, people felt Khloé posting promotional photos for her brand was “insensitive.”
Following that, hours later Khloé posted to Instagram Stories with a cryptic quote about being gentle to yourself.
"You need to slow down and be gentle with yourself. You've been dealing with so much for so long and you need to give yourself time to do nothing,” the quote read.
"I hope someday you see yourself the way I see you because you are the strongest person I know and deserve a beautiful life. Don't apologize for struggling."
The message finished: "You're okay. It's all been a lot. Love you so much."
That wasn’t the only cryptic quote she shared, though. Later on, Khloé took to Instagram again with more quotes.
"People will criticize your life not knowing the price you paid to get where you are today," the first quote read.
Another on discussed "regret," which read: "Never regret having a good heart. All good things come back and multiply."
And a final quote read: “The beautiful thing about life is that you can always change, grow and get better. You aren't defined by your past. You aren't your mistakes."
Khloé isn’t the only one being criticized for how she responded (or didn’t) to Kourtney’s pregnancy scare. Her mom, Kris, and Khloé both attended the Beyoncé concert without addressing what was happening with Kourtney, and Kim was on vacation and posting bikini pics.
Hopefully Kourtney is doing OK and resting well at home.
