Over the past several years, Kim Kardashian has been working toward her dream of becoming a lawyer. But it seems that achieving this dream will take more time than Kim originally planned. While the media personality and businesswoman initially planned on taking the California bar exam in 2025, she now plans on waiting until 2026, a source recently told The U.S. Sun.

She hasn't had much time to focus on studying.
Kim has not given up on her dream of becoming a lawyer. However, she is extremely busy. “The reality is Kim hasn’t been able to study much for it yet, and there’s no way she’s going to be able to tackle the exam in February,” the insider told The U.S. Sun. According to the source, Kim doesn’t like when people ask her how her studies are going.
“Kim hates any questions about her pursuit of her legal credentials. She gets mad when anyone brings it up,” the source claimed. “She says she’s a full-time working mom of four with a business empire, so of course it’s going to take a little longer.”
In June, Kim shared an update on her law school journey.
Even if she does hate being asked about her progress, the SKIMS founder has shared some updates with fans over the years. In June, she posted about studying for the California bar exam. She shared a photo of her test prep material to her Instagram Stories, writing, “I can’t deal with all these f—ing hearsay exceptions! My least favorite subject in law school,” per People.

Earlier this year, a source said Kim might be putting her law dreams on pause.
In February, a source told The U.S. Sun that Kim might’ve put her dreams “on pause” because “her various business ventures have rocketed” and she has been busy taking care of her four children, North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, whom she shares with her ex-husband Kanye “Ye” West. At the time, the source said Ye “is such an unreliable father at the moment, she can’t count on or rely on him.”
More recently, Kim opened up about essentially being a single mom. “People always will jump on the: ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,’ I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I’m basically raising four kids by myself here,” she said on the What In the Winkler? podcast.
In 2021, she posted about passing her 'baby bar exam.'
In December 2021, Kim took to Instagram to share an exciting update. She revealed that she passed the “baby bar exam” after failing the exam three times in two years.
“In California, the way I’m studying law you need to take 2 bar exams, this was just the first one but with the harder pass rate,” she explained at the time. “I was told by top lawyers that this was a close to impossible journey and harder than the traditional law school route but it was my only option and it feels so so sooooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals.”
Kim was really proud of the achievement.
Reflecting on that accomplishment, Kim said she felt “really proud.” “Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection,” she wrote in the December 2021 Instagram post. “For anyone who doesn’t know my law school journey, know this wasn’t easy or handed to me. I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!!”
