It’s Elf on the Shelf season, and parents who participate in the fun tradition this time of year are doing their best to create the most elaborate (and oftentimes messy) shenanigans for their kids’ elves to get into. Considering that members of the Kardashian family have a propensity for being extra, it comes as no surprise that they go to great lengths to create elaborate elf setups, too. Kim Kardashian recently took it to a new level when she had her kids’ elves fill her bathtub with "hot chocolate." She certainly does go all out.

Kim is no stranger to extravagance.
Kim revealed her elf creation in her Instagram Stories this week, which was captured by People.
"I walked into my bathroom and what do I see here? The elves left a mess and made Charlie and the Chocolate Factory over here," her voiceover of the video said as she took her followers on a tour of her home. "The note in the kitchen said they couldn't find the mugs, so the hot chocolate is in the bathtub."
It looks cool, but who's gonna clean up the mess?
First, she showed a counter that was covered in powdered sugar and cocoa powder, while also being sprinkled with Hershey’s Kisses and peppermints. She used more chocolate Kisses to spell out the word "ELF" and made a heart out of powdered sugar. It looks great, but it's hard not to think of who might end up cleaning up this mess!
Kim didn't share how she made the hot chocolate substance.
The centerpiece was, of course, the bathtub filled with "hot chocolate." She turned on the faucet and let the water run to show that it wasn’t just an effect. This season, some moms have been using hot chocolate packets mixed with hot water in the tub to create the same effect, so there's a chance it's the real thing!
"This is crazy. This is literally Willy Wonka. Look at this. The whole tub is chocolate," she said, adding that the elves are "wild."

Meanwhile, Khloé is pulling double Elf duty.
Kim isn’t the only Kardashian going all out with the Elf on the Shelf. Khloé recently posted about daughter True’s elves in her Snapchat Story, saying, "It's definitely a lot of work coming up with ideas and setting up the elves each night but seeing True's face light up every morning makes it all so worth it."
She also noted that a new elf joined the family. "True wanted to have two elves this year. One for her and one for Tatum," she explained.
Kourtney is getting in the spirit too.
Not to be left out, eldest sister Kourtney kicked off Elf on the Shelf season by sharing a picture of her kids’ elves enjoying "Elf Sledding" season. She created a slope and used cotton balls to create snowdrifts. Elves for each of her children, including her new baby Rocky, were shown sliding down the slope on paper plate sleds.
