Kim Kardashian Explains Why Kourtney Missed Her Birthday Party Amid Explosive Feud

Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian have been at odds for a long time, so maybe we should have been less surprised that Kim celebrated turning 43 without her big sister around. But as it turns out, the reason Kourtney was missing in action wasn't because of their feud. In a new Instagram post, Kim revealed why Kourtney wasn't at her birthday party, and it actually has nothing to do with their sisterly relationship. Still, it has us a bit concerned for Kourt …

Kim shared photos from her birthday celebration.

The photos showed Kim in a long red dress, posing with everyone who had attended her party. This included family along with her celebrity friends (such as Hailey Bieber, Ivanka Trump, and Sara Foster). The first photo in the carousel featured her with mom Kris Jenner and sisters Khloé, Kylie, and Kendall, but Kourtney was nowhere to be seen.

It was impossible not to notice that Kourtney wasn't in the snaps.

But Kim's been living public life for a long time, and given the amount of buzz around the fighting between her and Kourtney on The Kardashians, she got ahead of the questions in her caption.

"So blessed to have hit the jackpot of friends! I couldn’t have ever dreamed I would be so lucky to call these girls my friends. Thank you for all the birthday love. And Kourt I’m jumping in bed with you next week for our bed rest picnic," she wrote.

Kourtney's expecting her fourth child any day now.

And thanks to Kim, we now know she's on bed rest as she awaits his arrival — not necessarily a shocking update, given that she did have emergency fetal surgery just weeks ago.

In an Instagram post of her own, Kourtney shared some photos of what her life looks like right now, including a bouquet of flowers from her daughter, Penelope, with a note that reads, "I hope you feel better Mom."

On her Instagram Stories, Kourtney shared a photo of her and Kim together, writing a heartfelt caption that referenced their recent spats.

"Thank you for all those years of bossing you around and you actually listening to all of my crazy ideas. People think the fights they’ve seen on tv are bad if only they got to witness the hair pulling, nail digging ones from early high school. The joys of sisterhood," Kourtney wrote. "I love you deeply forever and always. May God bless this year with love and happiness and abundant joy."

It seems like Kim had a great birthday.

Duh — this is Kim, and the Kardashians are known for their over-the-top parties. But even though she didn't get to spend that time with one of her sisters, they'll be able to celebrate a brand-new baby boy in the family soon enough. Here's hoping Kourt's getting plenty of rest!
