Dating isn’t for everyone, including former supermodels. Just take Linda Evangelista, who is perfectly content with being single and not sharing her space with a romantic partner. Linda, 58, has had several high-profile relationships in the past few decades and is now mom to a teenager. But since she was the victim of a botched cosmetic procedure in 2016, she has led a much quieter life, and dating has absolutely been off the table. And now, her words about wanting to remain single are striking a chord with women all over social media.

She is perfectly content being on her own.

When asked about dating in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Linda didn’t mince words.
"Not interested," she said. "I don’t want to sleep with anybody anymore. I don’t want to hear somebody breathing."
The model underwent a CoolSculpting procedure in 2016 that went horribly wrong.
Linda went on to add that the last time she dated anyone was before the CoolSculpting cosmetic procedure she underwent in 2015 and 2016 that left her "brutally disfigured." In 2021, the model revealed that she was "permanently deformed" after undergoing two corrective surgeries to correct the wrongs done by the procedure.
The botched procedure led to her becoming a recluse for five years before telling her story.
"I don’t blame myself anymore," she said of the guilt she has around the procedure. She sued Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc., the company that owns CoolSculpting, for $50 million and ended up selling for an undisclosed amount in 2022.
"I wouldn’t have stayed locked up if I’d known how many people cared," she revealed.

Linda was married for five years, but it didn't last.

Linda was previously married to Gérald Marie, the former head of Elite Model Management's Paris office. She married him in 1987 when she was only 22. In the Apple TV+ docuseries The Super Models, she revealed that her ex-husband was physically abusive and that she spent all of her modeling money to get out of her marriage safely so she could regain her freedom.
It was her son who helped her face the world again.
She shares her only child, 17-year-old son Augustin James, with French businessman François-Henri Pinault. She credits her son with being the motivation she needed to stop hiding.
"[Augie] used to say, 'Mommy, do you remember when you used to be fun?'" she said in an interview with People. "'Remember when you used to laugh all the time? How come you don't laugh anymore?' I hate what this has done to my relationship with him."
