Out of all of the celebrity breakups in recent years, Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa was one that many fans didn't see coming. It's hard to believe that two years have already passed since the couple announced that they would be going their separate ways, and now, they've taken another step towards making their split final. Lisa has filed for divorce from Jason, and in the process, she revealed that they've actually been separated for a lot longer than we thought.

Lisa has filed for a dissolution of marriage.

According to court documents obtained by People, Lisa filed for divorce two years after the couple originally shared publicly that they'd be splitting up. Lisa cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their divorce and requested joint custody of the couple's two children, Lola, 16, and Nakoa-Wolf, 15.
The divorce has already been settled.
As Page Six reported, Lisa and Jason's divorce is "uncontested," and they were already able to come to an agreement outside of court for how they would split up their property.
"The parties have a written agreement that will be submitted to the court, or a stipulation for judgment will be submitted to the court," read paperwork obtained by the news outlet.
Lisa is not requesting spousal support.
Lisa listed the date of their separation as October 7, 2020.
This is surprising, considering that they didn't announce they were separating until January 2022 in a since-deleted Instagram post where they said they were taking the opportunity to "free each other."
At the time, the couple wrote, "A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception … feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so — We share our Family news — That we are parting ways in marriage. We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy — But so that — as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty."

Fans thought Jason and Lisa might be getting back together for a while.
Just weeks after taking their separation public, a source told Hollywood Life that the couple was giving it another go.
"They decided to work on things rather than throw in the towel because they have so much invested in each other," the insider said.
Whether this intel was legit or not, ultimately, these two (obviously) weren't able to reconcile.
This news closes an important chapter in the couple's lives.
Although there's no way of knowing what truly happened behind closed doors, from what we do know, it appears their split has certainly been amicable enough to work out how they want to move forward without the intervention of the court, which is a great sign. Hopefully, things will continue to go smoothly as they continue to co-parent their children.
