But now, a resurfaced TikTok video from last year that featured the 65-year-old superstar has reignited the buzz. Madonna looks totally unrecognizable in this clip, so it makes sense that people are talking again, and while voicing their concerns, some fans are even calling her appearance "painful."

The video was originally posted last year.
In the TikTok video, which Madonna posted to her official account in October 2022, the singer is totally makeup free, mouthing the words to a viral audio clip.
"Why did you do that?" the audio says.
In the next clip, Madge is in full glam, whispering, "I don't know."
Now, the video is making the rounds all over again.
Popular gossip blogger Perez Hilton is bringing Madonna's video back into circulation after he shared a screenshot from it on his Instagram account to promote an episode of his podcast.
And after seeing the screenshot of Madonna's changing face, many people are now voicing their concerns.
The comments are filled with questions from fans.
Although some people accused Perez of trying to "breed negativity" about Madonna by posting the photo, others shared their concern.
"She looks mummified at this point. This is a whole mess," one person wrote.
Another commenter added, "Her lips look painful."

Madonna truly does look a lot different these days.
Even before her health scare back in June when a bacterial infection left her hospitalized, Madonna was receiving criticism for her changing looks. Some fans believe she's simply aging, but others are convinced that botched plastic surgery is to blame.
Either way, at this point, it's easy to see that Madonna looks different than she did even a couple of years ago.
Regardless of her appearance, Madonna continues to rock.
Right now, she's gearing up to set out on her "Celebration" world tour, which officially kicks off on October 14. It's good to see that she was able to make a full recovery after her infection and get back out there doing what she loves.
