When they say "It takes a village" to raise a child, they aren't joking — it's hard to be a parent without at least some help. For some of us, that means our kids' grandparents, and for others, it means child care such as day care, babysitters, or even employing the help of a nanny. And now, one celebrity working mom, Mandy Moore, is going the extra mile to show her nanny how much she means to her by offering her a seriously impressive home makeover.

The makeover will be shown on 'Celebrity IOU.'
In case you haven't seen it, Celebrity IOU is an HGTV series where Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott team up with celebs to help them surprise someone important in their lives with a home makeover. So far, the show has featured celebs such as Emma Roberts and Taraji P. Henson, and now, it's Mandy's turn.
Mandy decided to surprise her kids' nanny, Celina.
"Celina is a nanny, a chef, a surrogate parent, a house manager – I mean she literally does everything and anything in our lives," Mandy said in a sneak peek at the episode shared by People. "I feel like I wouldn't be able to get through a single day without her."
Celina provides care to the two sons Mandy shares with husband Taylor Goldsmith, Gus, 3, and Ozzie, 1, and it sounds like she's become a very special person in Mandy's life. She'll be even busier before too long. Mandy's third child, a baby girl, will be joining the family later this year.
Mandy has known Celina for 15 years, and they've become 'closer than family.'
"She’s just been this sort of constant in my life. I love her deeply. I will do anything for her," she said.
Apparently, "anything" includes giving her backyard a stunning makeover as she works with the Scott brothers to create a space that looks like it came straight out of a magazine.

She joined in with the makeover, including the dirty work.
People reported that Mandy will be pitching in with the renovation and said on the show that she is "learning as I go" — even if it wasn't all easy!
"Using the angle grinder was definitely one of the harder things I’ve been asked to do on this project. It was terrifying seeing the sparks fly and making sure I was cutting it at the right angle," she said.

The new season of the show is right around the corner, so we won't have to wait long to see how beautiful they make Celina's backyard — or the emotional moment when they make the big reveal. Mandy's episode of Celebrity IOU will air on Sunday, August 12 on HGTV.
