It appears that Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's journey of love has hit a rough patch. Whether they are able to overcome their recent drama remains to be seen, but sources close to the couple said it's going to take a whole lot of work to get their relationship back on track.
An anonymous source spilled the tea to Us Weekly.
According to the insider, the PDA-heavy couple — who got engaged in January 2022 — is on the outs, and it may take a miracle to save their relationship.
"[Megan] isn't sure where things stand with [MGK], and it's complicated at the moment," the source revealed. "They're still working on their relationship because the love they had was the real deal. That's not something that just goes away overnight."
The duo will have to do a lot of heavy lifting to fix things.
Although Megan and MGK are still hopelessly in love, that might not be enough to get them to the altar. The source explained that "they would need to have a significant breakthrough to make things work."
"It's all up in the air right now," the person added.
That doesn't sound good, especially because Megan was making cryptic posts about the state of her relationship not that long ago.
A fight over Super Bowl weekend kicked everything into motion.
Apparently, everything blew up just before the Sports Illustrated party. An insider told Us Weekly at the time that Megan was supposed to join her fiancé at the event but instead they had a big fight and she canceled her plans and flew home. Shortly afterward, Megan began making strange posts on her Instagram that seemed to be directed at MGK. Rumors also began circulating that he had cheated on her.
Megan finally addressed those posts, denying any infidelity.
After deactivating her Instagram account, speculation went wild about what could have gone down between them. Us Weekly reported that Megan returned to the app on February 19 to share a since-expired statement.
"There has been no third-party interference in this relationship of any kind," she said. "That includes but is not limited to … actual humans, DMs, AI bots, or succubus demons."
We still don't know what's going on between the couple.
Megan's account may be back, but there's no sign of MGK — or anything else for that matter — on her page. As for MGK, he hasn't deleted any of the photos of himself and Megan, prompting questions as to exactly where their relationship stands right now.
They do say that the brightest flames are the quickest to burn out, and the way these two have lit up for each over their short relationships may spell doom for the unconventional couple. We'll have to wait to find out how this all plays out — but we have to admit, things do not look good at the moment.
