An old photo of Michelle Duggar on the beach has recently resurfaced on the Duggars Snark subreddit. Although Michelle appears to be having a blast with an unnamed woman in the snap, Redditors couldn't help but focus on the strange attire she was wearing for the occasion.

Michelle was having fun in the sun when the snap was taken.
The 56-year-old was clutching a drink while standing next to a tall woman on a sandy beach. Both ladies looked slightly windswept as a beachy breeze seemed to blow in, moving both the palm trees and their dark dresses as they posed for the camera.
The woman appeared to be wearing a beach cover-up over a bathing suit, and Michelle looked like she was wearing a long-sleeve T-shirt, leggings, a skirt, and a pair of dark tights.
The Duggars have a strict dress code.
Michelle was dressed more conservatively than the woman she was with, which she makes a point to do, thanks to the modesty rules set forth by the Institute of Basic Life Principles.
Michelle and Jim Bob have devoutly followed these less conventional teachings of the IBLP, including raising their children by the strict policies.
Still, some fans couldn't help but cheekily point out that she was showing a little skin with those rolled-up sleeves!
Redditors were quick to call out Michelle.
People took turns mocking Michelle's beach attire.
"Even both my Grandmas didn't go this far," one Redditor posted. "They really overdo it on the 'modesty.' The shirt is enough."
Another person made fun of the fact that Michelle had pushed up her sleeves, something the IBLP says should remain covered in addition to shoulders, legs, and cleavage. "Better cover those god-honoring forearms!" the commenter wrote.
This isn't the first time Michelle has stunned people recently with her clothing choices.
In February, Without a Crystal Ball's Katie Joy posted a photo of Michelle pre-Jim Bob. The then-teen was posing barelegged in her cheer uniform with other members of her high school squad.
According to a source Katie spoke with, Michelle regularly wore shorts and bikinis before hooking up with her fundamentalist husband.

It's funny seeing Michelle at the beach.
As The Sun pointed out, Michelle has been open in the past about the family's views on the beach, writing how they avoided most swimming events because "it's just too hard for guys to try to keep their eyes averted in those situations."
We can't help but wonder if Michelle has changed her views on having fun in the sun now that most of her children are older and have gone off and started their own lives (and developed their own views about their parents' rules).
