Michelle Duggar may have appeared like a soft spoken, gentle person on 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On, but apparently, when she sees someone breaking the law, that all changes. While with her daughters on a bachelorette trip ahead of Jana Duggar‘s wedding, Michelle managed to track down someone she caught stealing. Don’t mess with this mama bear!

Jana shared her vlog from her bachelorette adventure.
The group — which included Jana, Michelle, and several of her sisters — flew out to Santa Barbara, California, where they met up with Jinger Duggar. Though many brides probably wouldn’t bring their mom along on a bachelorette trip, they all seemed to have a lot of fun spending quality time together, going out to eat and enjoying even more girl time while shopping.
One of the group's nights out took an unexpected turn.
As Jana explained in the vlog, suddenly, she noticed that her mom was gone, and then she realized that Michelle had taken off after she noticed that she’d witnessed someone stealing, which means their evening devolved into a bit of chaos involving the police.
“A guy stole somebody’s wallet, so Mama Bear chased him down and told him to give it back!” Jana wrote in the video.
Michelle had to talk to police to help them catch the alleged thief.
“They got his description. They got both the fellas together. They know where they’re at,” she said. “He has a buddy in a white shirt. They videoed them. They took pictures of them. The guy with the camera took photos and so he gave that to the police. Everything.”
Michelle may have missed her calling — maybe she should consider joining the police force!
She even had a few choice words for the thief once she caught him.
He accused her of harassing him, but as she recounted to her daughters after everything was over, she told him, “Shame on you! Your mama would not be pleased — not at all!” Now that is the Michelle Duggar we know from TV!

It seems like Jana had a memorable bachelorette trip.
After surprising fans with her secret wedding to Stephen Wissmann in August, Jana’s life has changed so much in a short period of time. Not only did she move off of Jim Bob and Michelle’s compound for the first time, but she also moved into an entirely different state now that she’s living with her husband in Nebraska. There’s no doubt it’s moments like these Jana looks back on when she’s missing her family.
