We've seen a lot of members of 19 Kids and Counting's Duggar family start wearing pants, but we never thought we'd be able to add Michelle Duggar to the list. In photos taken while she was visiting Jinger in California in early 2022, Michelle was seen wearing pants — and although they still had a skirt over them, this seems like a big step for her. Is this a sign that we're going to start seeing a bit of dress code loosening across the board, or did Michelle just feel like going outside of her comfort zone while on vacay? We guess only time will answer that question.

Michelle was photographed hanging out in LA with Jinger.
In photos obtained by The Sun, Jinger was seen out walking with her mom and siblings Jana, Jason, and James. Because they're visiting her in Los Angeles, it was no surprise to see them all together, but Michelle's choice in outfits definitely was.
In some of the photos, it's pretty clear that Michelle is wearing pants.
With one caveat, of course — she's wearing a skirt over those pants (which appear to be leggings).
It's not quite the same article of clothing that her daughters are wearing, but given that this is Michelle we're talking about, we'd say it's definitely a start.

Fans on Reddit have a lot of feelings about the photos.
People kept pointing out how much happier Michelle looked — especially without husband Jim Bob by her side.
"Michelle looks pretty good in this photo without JB … for a 55 yo woman that has been pregnant and gave birth so many times," one Reddit user wrote.
"Meech looks downright normal" another commenter added. "Hell hath frozen over."
Multiple members of the family headed to California together.
The family shared photos on social media from the airport as they all geared up to fly out to LA from Arkansas. Given Jim Bob's absence, there was some speculation that he wasn't welcome in Jinger's house, thanks to recent events involving Josh's trial and the fact that he and Jeremy Vuolo may not exactly be best buddies these days.
Maybe Jinger is encouraging her mom to step outside her comfort zone.
Who knows? Now that they're in their post-reality TV phase, the Duggars might be changing the way they live their lives. After all, Jinger's been paving the way in that department for a long time. Maybe before long, we'll see Michelle wearing pants again — next time, without the skirt involved.
