Millie Bobby Brown & Jake Bongiovi Secretly Marry After Dating for 2 Years

Stranger Things fans may still view Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven from the popular Netflix series. But in real life, the actress is officially a married woman.

The 20-year-old recently tied the knot with her boyfriend of two years, Jake Bongiovi, the son of singer Jon Bon Jovi. Although Millie announced their engagement in April 2023, she and Jake opted to exchange vows during a private ceremony without telling fans beforehand. Let's take a closer look at the details.

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi 'quietly' exchanged wedding vows.

On May 24, The Sun reported that Millie and Jake had "quietly" exchanged wedding vows. The newspaper also reported that the couple has a "bigger ceremony" planned later in 2024.

Additionally, “It was a very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows," according to The Sun.

That same day, photographs surfaced of the couple wearing wedding rings.

Photos obtained by Page Six seemingly confirmed that Millie and Bobby had married. The newlyweds were spotted in The Hamptons on May 24 while rocking wedding rings. In the snaps, the couple smiled while riding in a blue convertible after shopping.

Another news outlet confirmed their marriage the following day.

People confirmed on May 25 that Jake and Millie were husband and wife. The magazine also noted that not only did they quietly say, "I do," but they also actually did so the previous weekend.

Jake and Millie had been engaged for more than a year.

Millie announced via Instagram on April 11, 2023, that she was an engaged woman. "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all ," she captioned her post, quoting lyrics from Taylor Swift's song, "Lover." In the image, Jake wrapped his arms around his fiancée from behind as they laughed, and she held onto his forearm — showing off the engagement ring.

'Stranger Things' actor Matthew Modine previously shared that he would officiate the wedding.

During an interview with Access Online, Millie's Stranger Things costar Matthew revealed that he would officiate Millie and Jake's nuptials.

“I have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it’d be great and then Jake said it would be a great idea, so I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife,” he told the news outlet. “It’s such a beautiful thing to be able to join two people in holy matrimony."

It's unclear if Matthew officiated during the private ceremony or if he will do so for their larger get-together (or both).

Either way, congrats to the newlyweds!
