After following along with “Octomom” Nadya Suleman‘s journey when she welcomed octuplets in 2009, she and her family became a household name. And now, she’s bringing her followers along for this next stage in her life, too. On Sunday, Nadya — who also goes by Natalie — took to Instagram to reveal that she is a first-time grandmother, offering an adorable peek at the newest baby in the family at the same time.

One of her sons has become a dad to a baby girl.
Nadya shared a photo on Instagram of a tiny newborn baby’s foot cuddled into a pink blanket, revealing that her granddaughter had been born on August 30, nearly a month ago.
“Thank you my son and my lovely daughter in law for giving us this beautiful gift!” she wrote. “We are so blessed that she is a new addition to our family! Baby girl you are so very loved and we can’t wait to watch you grow!!”
She didn't specify which of her sons had welcomed this baby.
Because Nadya’s a mom of 14, it’s hard to narrow down which of her sons might have been the one to make her a grandmother for the first time. Out of the 14, 10 of those children are sons, including some of the six older children she had before her octuplets arrived: Calyssa, Caleb, Amerah, Elijah, Aidan, and Joshua.
One of her recent Instagram posts seems to point to one of her sons in particular, though.
When wishing her son Joshua a happy 21st birthday in August, Nadya said that he had become a “devoted husband and soon to be father.”
“You have overcome seemingly impossible obstacles this year, and have come out the other side stronger and more resilient,” she wrote. “Words cannot express how much I love and respect you.”
It’s totally possible that two of Nadya’s sons were expecting babies at the same time, but more likely that Joshua is the one who is now a dad to the baby girl from his mom’s Instagram post.

The octuplets are growing up, too.
In January, Nadya shared a post in honor of her octuplets turning 15 — boy, does time fly!
Alongside a photo of the gang at their first birthday party, she wrote, “Happy 15th birthday Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Josiah, and Makai! I am so proud of the young adults you are growing into! Stay true to yourselves, humble, kind, and honest. I am so grateful for your love, and am beyond blessed to have you in my life.”
Congrats to the new grandma!
Nadya has been through a lot of ups and downs over the years, but it looks like she’s managed to come out on the other side — even while raising 14 kids.
It’s hard to believe that her octuplets will be 16 in just a few short months. We hope she’ll be ready for them to hit the road!
