Paris Hilton has been a mom for less than two years, but she’s already received plenty of backlash for her parenting so far – and now, she’s landed herself in hot water with fans all over again. After she shared her car seat setup in a TikTok video, Paris is on the receiving end of a ton of criticism from fans who are convinced her two little ones are unsafe when riding in the car with her.
Paris shared a video that was taken in the vehicle.

In a video that Paris has since deleted from TikTok, we can see her kids, Phoenix, 1, and London, 6 months, strapped into their car seats in the vehicle. At first glance, it might seem like everything is on the up and up — if you haven’t been a parent to a baby or toddler in the last 10 years.
People quickly pointed out what was unsafe about the seats.
Fans who commented on Page Six’s Instagram update on the situation shared how unimpressed they were with Paris’ lack of knowledge about car seat safety.
One person wrote, “The car seats need to be facing the rear, and buckled securely the right way.”
Another commenter added, “Did she do it just for the photos maybe? I’m really trying to be hopeful here.”
Some even called for child services to get involved.
Most people were alarmed that Phoenix and London appeared to be facing forward.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that all infants and toddlers ride rear facing as long as possible. Though some people believe you should turn a child around in their seat after their first birthday, the academy points out that it’s safest to keep them facing the rear until they’ve hit the maximum weight or height allowed by their particular car seat.

Some people took a kind approach to Paris' video.
One child passenger safety technician who is popular on TikTok, Jamie Grayson, made a video just for Paris after his followers called his attention to her video.
“Those seats are not made to face forward,” he pointed out kindly. “Those are rear facing only seats, and I know a lot of people have come after you for this video … that’s not what I’m doing. Just know that I’m here if you need help.”
Paris seemed to take well to his message, because she followed his TikTok account and on his next video, she commented, “Thank you, love for your kind words. Appreciate all the mom advice I can get as I’m new at this so I am learning every day.”
Paris has already corrected her car seat mistake.
In the video, she showed Phoenix and London sitting in their properly installed, rear-facing seats in her new mom van.
“I’m not taking offense. I am a new mom and just learning as I go. So I appreciate advice when it is kind as I’m just trying to be the best mom I can be,” she wrote in a comment.
Good for Paris for being open to advice and for taking the necessary steps to keeping her kiddos safe. Being a new mom can be so overwhelming, no matter who you are, and we’re all just doing the best we can.
