Paris Hilton has always been known as a multi-hyphenate. She’s a businesswoman, a DJ, an advocate, and a mom. And now, she’s adding animated character to the list. Hilton has a new animated show titled Paris & Pups that is now airing on YouTube. The show follows 12-year-old Paris Star (known as Star) and her five best puppy friends (known as the Sweetie Squad) living their best lives in her penthouse at The Fabuluxe Hotel. Viewers will get to watch Star and the pups go on adventures, spread kindness, and remind everyone that being your best self is always in fashion.
CafeMom got to talk to Hilton about the new show and the many ways it reflects her own life.
‘Paris & Pups’ was years in the making.
Star, the main character of the show, is very closely based on Hilton herself. She said the show is “inspired by” her childhood living at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City and the dogs she had growing up. “It’s always been a dream of mine,” she says of creating the show. “I’ve always loved cartoons and I always wanted to create an animated series based on my life.”
According to Hilton, the idea has been brewing since she was only 5 years old. Growing up in the ’80s, shows such as Rainbow Brite and Care Bears were a huge part of her life. “I wouldn’t be who I am today without those shows,” she tells us.
As a mom of toddlers, she wanted to create something parents and kids could share together.

Paris Hilton is mom to son Phoenix and daughter London, who are in prime cartoon-watching age. “I wanted to create a series I could watch with them,” she explains. “Something that would have a really good message and would help shape them. Cartoons really have a huge effect on a kid’s life.
“I wanted my kids to be able to watch something that would teach them kindness and fun and just being a good human being,” she admits.
But she knows that her two little ones aren’t the only kids who will be watching. Creating a show with a positive message for children was something that was very important for Hilton. “I want parents and their kids to watch the series and be inspired to show their inner star and inner sparkle,” she says.
She also hopes Paris & Pups inspires kids (and their grownups!) “to be kind and loving,” and to also remember “when anything happens, you all just come together and make it right.”
The other stars of ‘Paris & Pups’ are dogs, and that was definitely by design.
Anyone who has been following Hilton for a long time knows that dogs are incredibly close to her heart. As she pointed out, her dogs were her babies before her own children were born. “It’s really special now to create all these family memories together with all the dogs,” she tells us. Phoenix and London have always lived in a home with a lot of dogs, which is exactly how the mom wants it.
For Hilton, her kids growing up with dogs is more than just something that brings happiness. “I feel you learn a lot from having a puppy or dog in your life,” she says. She hopes that living in a home with dogs teaches her kids not only the importance of empathy and kindness but also responsibility as the kids grow up and help take care of them.
Much like Star, Paris Hilton loves having fun and sharing good times with the people she loves.
When CafeMom spoke with Hilton, she had recently moved into a new house. “At this house, every day is an adventure,” she jokes. There is lots of room for her family to spend time together outside, including their own pups.
She also has a space she dubbed the “ADHD Creative Art Room,” where she and her kids (and dogs!) can do arts and crafts and hang out. And although it’s technically her mommy space, she’s happiest when she’s sharing it with all her babies.
The first four episodes of Paris & Pups are now available to watch on YouTube, with more episodes dropping weekly.
