On Friday, the mystery of what's really going on with Kate Middleton was finally solved, and after so much speculation, finding out the truth came as a shock to many. In an emotional Instagram video, Kate revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. As hard as it was to see Kate speak out in that video, the situation becomes even more heartbreaking now that we know that Prince Harry may have found out about her health crisis the same way.

Kate broke the news on Friday.
In a video posted on the official Instagram account she shares with Prince William, Kate explained that evidence of cancer had been found during post-operative tests following her planned surgery earlier this year.
"We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment," she said. "My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to being back when I am able — but for now, I must focus on making a full recovery."
One member of the family may not have been given a heads up.
According to The Times of London, multiple royal sources have noted Harry didn't find out about Kate's diagnosis until the rest of the world did.
"It is understood that Kate’s cancer diagnosis was not shared in advance with Harry and Meghan. Several sources confirm that there were no such conversations and it is thought Harry found out about Kate’s diagnosis from television, at the same time as the public," the insider said.
The palace refuses to confirm or deny if this is true.
"We do not comment on private conversations," a Kensington Palace spokesperson told The Times of London.
We will probably never know for sure, but there's no doubt it had to sting if Harry really did find out something so important about a member of his family that way.

Meghan and Harry released a statement of well-wishes for Kate on Friday.
Shortly after Kate's video went live, Harry and Meghan released a statement to multiple news outlets, wishing their sister-in-law well.
"We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace," the statement read.
Harry and Kate were once very close.
Because Kate has been in the royal family's lives since she and William started dating in 2002 — when Harry was just 18 years old — they've known each other for a long time. And when they used to attend royal engagements together, they really did seem to have a close bond.
Maybe this difficult time in their family will bring them back together. This year is already shaping up to be a rather rough one for the royals.
