Two years after the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s explosive docuseries, their next Netflix endeavor is coming to a TV screen near you. The release date for Harry and Meghan’s newest docuseries has been announced, but it’s coming around the same time as another project involving the couple is due to premiere — and that one could end up stirring up a bit of controversy.

The five episode series, called Polo, is all about the “fast-paced and glamorous world of polo,” and “follows elite global players on and off the field as they compete in the high-stakes U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida,” according to Netflix.
The series is produced by Archewell Productions, with Meghan and Harry both serving as executive producers.
The series begins streaming on December 10.
“This series offers audiences an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look into the passion and determination driving some of the world’s elite polo players, revealing the grit behind the glamor,” Prince Harry said in a statement, via People. “We’re proud to showcase the true depth and spirit of the sport — and the intensity of its high-stakes moments.”
Prince Harry has long been a fan of the sport.
One of the athletes featured in the series is Nacho Figueras, who also happens to be Harry’s friend. He told People that he and Harry have “talked about polo for years.”
“The production company is incredible, and Netflix has a huge platform to reach the biggest hearts in the world. I am happy to be involved and think this is a great opportunity for the sport,” he said.
Harry has also played plenty of polo himself, so he seems like the right person to work on this project.

One week before the docuseries release, a controversial film about the couple is coming out.
According to Express, Germany’s ZDF network will premiere a documentary called Harry — A Lost Prince on December 3, and it doesn’t sound like it’s going to show Harry and Meghan in a very positive light.
“The Royal Family has to deal with difficult developments and regroup after ‘Megxit,’ the death of the Queen and Charles and Kate’s cancer. What role will Harry play in the future?” reads the film’s description.
'Polo' isn't the only documentary project Harry and Meghan have in the pipeline.
As People reported, the couple’s next documentary for the streamer will focus on Meghan and “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship.”
With her American Riviera Orchard company forthcoming, it seems that documentary — which is yet to be titled — will have perfect timing.
