As the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Kate Middleton have a staff who reports to them to make sure that their office is running smoothly. According to what royal insiders have recently shared, it sounds like as bosses, they’re pretty well loved – especially around the holidays. In fact, they’re “renowned” for going above and beyond to make the staff feel less like employees and more “like family” around this time of year.

It's all about making their staff 'feel valued.'
Working for the future king and queen of England seems like an intimidating gig, but in reality, it sounds like it’s anything but.
“During the holidays, they go above and beyond to ensure their team feels appreciated, reinforcing their reputation as relatable and compassionate royals,” an insider told the Royal Observer.
They learned the importance of this from Queen Elizabeth.
In Robert Lacey’s book Battle of Brothers, the author writes that Will and Kate are “paternalistic with their staff” and seem to have learned how to be bosses from the late queen – but who would be better to learn from than her?
“They copy The Queen in that respect with all her Christmas parties and Christmas presents to her people. They’re proud to treat their staff like family,” Robert wrote in his book, via Marie Claire.
They know their employees aren't highly paid.
So instead, they try to make up for it in other ways.
“They recognize that they don’t get paid loads of money, so they are just really nice to them,” Robert wrote in the book.

They try to make things fun for those who work for them.
They reportedly give their staff “modest yet meaningful gifts” and try to keep the spirit of Christmas at the forefront of what they do at work.
“It’s not just about duty. They genuinely care about the people who work so hard to support them,” a source told the Royal Observer.
They're so well-known for how good they are to their staff that even those who don't work for them know all about it.
“While comparisons between the Waleses and Sussexes continue to dominate headlines, one thing remains clear: William and Kate’s dedication to fostering goodwill and togetherness among their staff resonates far beyond palace walls,” the source added. “As the royal family prepares for another iconic Sandringham Christmas, the Waleses’ approach to the holidays reminds us why they remain beloved figures both within and outside the Firm in the first place.”
