Despite rumors that everything may not be quite as it seems between Prince William and Kate Middleton, they seemed just as in love — and in sync — as ever at their royal engagement on Thursday. The Prince and Princess of Wales headed to a food bank in Berkshire to lend a hand … and Will even took the time to playfully tease his wife in the process.
They spent Thursday morning with the volunteers at Windsor Foodshare.
In a post shared on Will and Kate's official Instagram account and Twitter, the royal couple wrote, "The donations and food packages make such a difference to those in the local area who need them. Hope we were more of a help than a hindrance when it came to the packing!"
That last sentence makes a lot of sense after finding out how much joking around they were doing during their visit!
They playfully poked at each other while talking to staff.
As Express reported, Will and Kate seemed to spend a lot of time joking around with staff at the food bank. At one point, Kate said, "One of us is better at packing than the other," aiming her comment at William, but he didn't let that go.
Instead, he responded, "One of us is better at cooking than the other!"
Shots fired!
They seemed to be in a joking mood throughout the visit.
In a video clip from their visit, we can see William breaking up a conversation between Kate and some of the volunteers, saying, "There's too much nattering going on here! We need to speed things up a bit! I've already learned who the chatty ones are here."
What's gotten into these two this week? Whatever it is, we like it. Anyone who's been married as long as they have already knows that a sense of humor is essential to keeping the relationship fun!
It doesn't seem as if Will's comment about cooking was serious.
Kate has always been known for her cooking — especially making sure she includes kids George, Charlotte, and Louis in the kitchen — and it was just last week that William complimented her skills.
According to People, while visiting the charity Together as One on January 17, Will admitted that he doesn't do much cooking, adding, "Catherine's very good though."
These two seem just as happy as ever.
In the wake of Prince Harry's very revealing memoir release, there's been speculation that Will and Kate might not be as happy in their marriage behind the scenes as their public personas suggest.
But after seeing them joke around together, it appears there may be no truth to those rumors after all. They have so much fun!
