Princesses Beatrice & Eugenie Have ‘No Desire’ To Join Working Members of Royal Family

With King Charles and Kate Middleton recovering from recent surgeries and Prince William taking time off to be more present for his kids as his wife heals, the number of working royals is down considerably — at least, for the time being. This means that there have been a lot of conversations about who could step in and help out during this time.

Two names that have been floated among those who could do the job are Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York. But according to royal intel, it seems incredibly unlikely that they will have any interest in the role.

Neither of the princesses have any interest in taking on the duties of working members of the family.

Neither of the Princesses of York are current working members of the royal family and if it’s up to them, it will stay that way. A royal commentator told GB News that Beatrice and Eugenie have "no desire" to be a part of King Charles’ monarchy. After all, it is a big job.

It seems that the king isn't so keen on adding more working members to the family anyway.

"As the only blood-born princesses of their generation, it would be wonderful to see Beatrice and Eugenie take on more responsibility. But neither have indicated a desire to do so," royal author Victoria Arbiter told the outlet. "Likewise, the king is keen to maintain a more cost-effective, slimmed-down monarchy."

Both women are happy with just being part of the family without the added stress of working for their uncle.

Victoria said: "Beatrice and Eugenie are happy to support the family behind the scenes. But I think each enjoys the life they’re able to live without the added burden of a full schedule of royal engagements."

Sounds like they have a pretty sweet setup — no wonder they don't want to let go of it.

The princesses have so much going on in their lives right now.

Both princesses have chosen to create lives and opportunities for themselves outside of the confines of the royal family. Neither of them are financially supported by the family — Beatrice works as a technology strategist and Eugenie as the director of an art gallery.

The sisters also have small children at home who require much of their time and attention. Eugenie has two sons, August and Ernest, while Beatrice is mom to daughter Sienna.

There is also one other very big reason they will likely never become working members of the royal family.

Even if the princesses did want to join the working family members, there is one potential roadblock: their father. Prince Andrew was forced to step away from working royal duty after his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein were revealed.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that "it's always very important to note public attitudes to this."

Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens!
