Raven-Symoné has had enough of internet trolls. The actress and her wife Miranda Pearman-Maday took to social media to address online vitriol that has recently been lobbed Miranda’s way. After she claimed that she had never watched Raven’s popular show That’s So Raven while it was on the air, fans of Raven’s accused Miranda of being an unsupportive wife. Miranda didn’t seem to make any rude comments about the show or speak badly about it, she simply said that it wasn’t something she watched at the time. But apparently people took issue with it, and the couple wants the keyboard warriors to keep their opinions and "death threats" to themselves.

Raven wasn't here for the rude comments.
"I’m here with Miranda, my wife, to tell you to stop it in the comments. And stop with the death threats in her DMs," Raven said in a TikTok where she appeared with her wife by her side. "It is disrespectful to her, and in turn it’s disrespectful to me."
Miranda then chimed in, calling the backlash against her "wild" and attempting to offer more context to her comments.
Miranda made a confession some fans took issue with.
All of this hate started because Miranda admitted that she didn’t watch That’s So Raven while it was on the air. When the couple appeared on the Bottoms Up with Fannita podcast in April, she shared that she wasn’t really part of the show’s target demographic.
"I was just watching something else at the time. I don't know. I think I was also a little too old," she added, saying that her sister, who is five years younger than she is, used to watch the show and loved That's So Raven,” she explained.
The response to her comment feels extreme.
Miranda reiterated her statement in the TikTok. "I hope to clear the air right now and let you all know that I never have once said that I did not know who Raven was. I only ever said that I did not grow up watching That’s So Raven. I did not watch her as a child," she said. "But since getting married and meeting her in 2015, I have seen the majority of her work. I have also been at a lot of this work. So I mean, backstage at The View, 25 Words or Less, the list goes on and on."

The couple didn't want to stay silent.
"She also isn’t just Raven-Symoné to me. You guys must try and open your minds a little bit and understand there is more behind people that are celebrities," Miranda shared after admitting to watching the show as an adult. "There is real life here. And that’s why we’re feeling inclined to address this, because I’m receiving so much hate for something that is really just a big spiral of internet misinformation."
Raven then added one final message, saying "And for all of the blue checks out there acting like trolls … sit down. Just, thank you, no need."
They got a lot of love for speaking up.
Many people in the comments offered support to the couple, expressing their own confusion over the hate.
"What an odd thing to receive threats over!" one person commented. "I'm so sorry. stay safe and I hope everything gets better."
Someone replied: "and I’m here trying to understand what getting married with someone has to do with the work done before they even met. if she was a mathematician the wife was supposed to check all the calculations?"
"I always said this can’t be real and even if it was Raven probably likes the fact her wife doesn’t just see her as Raven the celebrity which allowed them to connect on a different level when they met," another comment read.
