Riley Keough Uses Touching Memorial Tribute To Reveal Mom Lisa Marie Presley Was a Grandma

Nearly two weeks after Lisa Marie Presley unexpectedly died at 54 years old, her daughter is paying tribute — and revealing a pretty big detail of her late mom's life along the way. During the memorial on Sunday, Riley revealed that Lisa Marie was a grandma. Yes, Riley herself is a mom, a secret she managed to keep until now.

Riley revealed the news in a letter to her mom.

As Page Six reported, Riley's husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, read a letter out loud at the memorial at Graceland that she had written to her mother, and that's when Riley revealed that she and Ben have a daughter.

"Thank you for showing me love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters," the letter shared.

She went on to list everything she inherited from her mother.

"Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity. I’m a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart," she wrote.

Riley has three siblings: 14-year-old twin sisters Finley and Harper, and brother Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in July 2020.

Later, Riley took to Instagram to share a sweet photo with her mom.

In the sepia-toned picture, we see a young Riley posing with her mom and holding flowers. She kept the caption short and sweet, simply adding a red heart emoji and nothing more.

Until the memorial, 33-year-old Riley had remained silent since news broke that her mother had died following a cardiac arrest on January 12.

Riley has never shared details about becoming a new mom.

This is the first time that the Daisy Jones & the Six star has shared anything at all about having a baby, but her rep did confirm to Page Six that she and Ben have a daughter.

Maybe in time she'll feel comfortable sharing more details, but for now, we can't imagine what she and her sisters must be going through.

Congratulations to Riley and Ben.

It's good to know that Lisa Marie got to experience becoming a grandma before her death (though we don't know for how long). Even though she should still be here today to make more memories with her daughter and granddaughter, there's no doubt that the ones she did make are something Riley will treasure.
