Being a grandma never looked so good! Actress Rosario Dawson revealed that her 21-year-old daughter Isabella is pregnant with her first child. Since Rosario adopted Isabella in 2014 when she was 11 years old, she has kept her largely out of the spotlight, but she has spoken about being a mother and her relationship with her daughter. The two seem to be quite close, based on what Rosario has said over the years, so it seems like this will be an exciting time for both of them!

Rosario is going to be a grandma sometime next year.
"It’s very exciting," Rosario told Page Six in an exclusive interview.
She's clearly given this grandma thing a lot of thought already, because she also told the news outlet that she plans to go by "Glamma."
Isabella is due to give birth next year.
Apparently, the young woman keeps her mom on her toes.
Speaking with People in August, Rosario shared that she is "just so proud" of Isabella.
"I love her so much and she's such a good person. And I love that she's very girly," she said. "She's always been that since very romantic and you know, she loves her jewelry and you know, playing dress up."
She went on to add, "That one … I'm never bored. When you have an Aquarius child, you're never bored."
The beginning of their relationship was not traditional.
The journey to become Isabella’s mom was a unique situation for Rosario. During a 2021 interview with Health magazine, Rosario explained the way Isabella came into her life.
"With my daughter, I didn't go to an adoption center or anything like that," she explained. "My family knew her biological mom, and when we found out she was in foster care, we looked for her. It wasn't even a question; it was clearly meant to be — she's my kid."
Rosario is grateful for the relationship she and Isabella have.
"I'm grateful for her development, our maturation and our connection," she shared. "To have a young person move in with you and to have to really consciously work through triggers and that kind of stuff is a really different thing than being pregnant and having your baby grow up in front of you — to be able to see how we're getting closer and closer. We are a family, and it's beautiful."

Isabella's name has a special origin.
Rosario didn’t give any details yet about Isabella’s pregnancy, but when the time comes to pick a name, Isabella may choose to follow her family's tradition. During an appearance on the We Are Family podcast in 2021, Rosario explained the origin of her daughter’s name.
"She's named after my grandmother, so my grandmother was Isabel. My mom's Isabel Celeste, I'm Rosario Isabel," she explained.
