Coronation plans are well underway for King Charles' ceremony, which is a little over a month away. And while many of the decisions so far have raised eyebrows — like the choice to hold it on Prince Archie's birthday — the latest news that Charles has asked the husband of Prince William's alleged mistress to participate may be the most shocking yet.

The Daily Mail reports that Charles has chosen David Rocksavage as his lord-in-waiting.
According to the tabloid, Charles would like the husband of Rose Hanbury to serve in the role, which will require him to "attend important state and royal occasions, as well as being called upon to represent His Majesty at various events."
That means that David will have a large part to play in the upcoming ceremony, which William will be attending with Kate Middleton and at least two of the pair's three children.
The long-standing rumored affair has never been confirmed.
Rumor has it that William grew close to his wife's former bestie while Kate was pregnant with Prince Louis. That closeness caused the two women to have a falling out after it sparked a number of rumors that William was being unfaithful.
Daily Mail appears to believe that this appointment serves as proof that the two women have reconciled and are back to being closer than ever.
The Walses and the Rocksavages are neighbors in Norfolk.
David and Rose were neighbors of William and Kate when the royal couple lived at Anmer Hall in Norfolk. William and Kate relocated to Berkshire in 2022 to be closer to Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle.
It seems like some people believe that Charles is opting to use David as a way to make his son and daughter-in-law happy as tensions rise during coronation planning.
Daily Mail suggests "the appointment is likely to please the Prince and Princess of Wales, who are friends and Norfolk neighbors."
Of course, royal watchers have some other thoughts about the motive.
Some people are speculating that the move was a "reward" for David remaining quiet about the alleged affair while others believe it's proof that absolutely nothing has been going on between Rose and William.
But we found one good (and plausible) reason why the rumors of the affair couldn't be true. "The Middletons are a close-knit family," one person tweeted. "Pippa and her hubby's first and second born children have three names each. Their third born has one name only: Rose. Pippa would never in a million years have hurt Catherine by naming that child Rose if William had an affair with Rose Hanbury."

By all accounts, William and Kate are a happily married couple.
An affair would be hard to hide in this day and age, especially when almost every person in the world is walking around with a camera phone in their pocket, so we find the rumored relationship a little hard to believe.
It makes the most sense that Kate and Rose's relationship has been repaired over the years and Kate is more than happy to see her old pal's family included in such a big event with her own family.
