Bryan died in August after privately battling ALS for several years, with Sandra becoming his caretaker at the end of his life. Although the couple kept a low profile, they were seen together on multiple occasions over the course of their seven-year relationship. When Bryan's first birthday after his death arrived, Sandra and her family commemorated the occasion in a very special way.

They chose a beautiful place to spread the ashes.
Sandra's sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, captured the way they honored what would have been Bryan’s 58th birthday. His ashes were scattered at Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
"Happy birthday, Bry. Sandy brought you to the river, just as she promised," Gesine captioned a video of the location.
Bryan privately battled ALS for three years.
Bryan died on August 5 after a battle with ALS that he chose to deal with privately.
"Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request," his family shared in a statement at the time, per People.
They went on to thank the "tireless doctors" and "astounding nurses" who worked with their family for their help over the years.
The couple maintained a quiet life together.

Sandra and Bryan met in 2015 after he photographed her son Louis’ birthday party. Later that year, they took their relationship public by attending Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding together.
Between them, the pair had three children: Louis and Laila, Sandra’s two children, as well as Bryan’s daughter from a previous relationship.

Sandra praised Bryan for his parenting skills.
"He's the example that I would want my children to have," Sandra said of Randall during a 2021 appearance on Red Table Talk. "I have a partner who's very Christian and there are two different ways of looking at things. I don't always agree with him, and he doesn't always agree with me. But he is an example even when I don't agree with him."
The pair never married.

During her time on the talk show, she also talked about the couple’s decision not to marry.
"I don't wanna say do it like I do it, but I don't need a paper to be a devoted partner and devoted mother," Sandra said. "I don't need to be told to be ever present in the hardest of times. I don't need to be told to weather a storm with a good man."
