The year 2020 has been a rough and challenging one for everyone, to say the least. There hasn't been a time like this in recent history between the global health crisis, polarizing issues within our country, and added juggles parents need to do. Also, we've lost some of our favorite celebrities, too, including Sean Connery.
The acclaimed actor was one who many grew to love from movies — like James Bond series, where he played the original British Secret Service Agent 007 — and other action movies, like The Untouchables, The Rock, and The Hunt for the Red October. When it was announced on October 31 that Sean Connery had died, the world fell silent. Tributes flooded social media with condolences to the family, and fans shared their favorite works of his, and lines throughout his long career.
Sean lived a full and happy life – having lived in some of the most gorgeous places in the world. Sean had real estate properties all over, including England, Spain, France, and the Bahamas.
In 2006, Sean officially retired after receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Film Institute. Though we didn't hear much about him after that — staying largely out of the public eye until his death — it really seems he lived a loving life right to the end, and his former home in the South of France is proof of this.
Sean loved the finer things in life, working hard to achieve his dreams, and one of his former homes recently went up for sale. This gave his fans a rare glimpse into how he lived his life: a $33.87 million mansion in the South of France, which overlooks Nice and the Mediterranean Sea.

This home is so incredible it's hard to take in all the details of the outside of the home at once. We love the light ivory shade of the bricks, and how it's been slowly covered in vines as time goes on. The walkway stone is perfectly placed, and the railing along the sea adds a level of elegance without taking away from the view.

With a view at home like this one, it has to have some spectacular architecture to help it stand with what nature has already provided. This walkway entrance into the front of the home is elegance personified. We love the custom stone walkway, the natural look that's been carefully incorporated, and the element of privacy, too.
Home With a View
While most of us buy a house for the location and space's size, there is a lot more that comes into consideration with this home. It's not just a regular home, because everything about the location, the materials used to build the outside of the home, and the incredible landscaping and gardening work all play well with the view that comes with where this home is located.
Large Grand Room
Outside, this home doesn't look like it would be too big, but taking one look at this grand room, it's clear that there's a lot of space inside. The floors are the same through the main level, with its oversized planks to make space feel even larger. Add the many floor-to-ceiling windows, and this space is just as light and bright as outside.
Living Room
This space isn't spectacular when we look at the furniture, but again, we have to look at the other details here. The tray ceiling adds a lot of interest to an otherwise plain space. The same large plank wood flooring caries through in there, and it looks like a cozy and comfortable space to hang out, unwind, and relax.
Stairs to Another Level
It's not often that a stairway would offer a beautiful focal point in a home tour, but this isn't an ordinary home. The wrought-iron railing swirls add a lot of movement, which is emphasized by the deep honey wood railings. But we also can't ignore the stairs themselves — which appear to have marble treads.
Large Main Bedroom
This looks to be a king-sized bed in here, and it still doesn't make the floor space available in this room seem any less. There's a lot of light coming through the windows here as well, proving that it was taken into account when constructing this home that the view outside should be enjoyed from any room inside the house.

This is the other side of the main bedroom that shows how big the area is and how much furniture can be placed in here without it feeling crowded. There's a dressing room and private balcony here, and so much space for all different kinds of seating and places to unwind and look at the view that's right outside the windows.
Bathroom With a Lot of Character
For most of us, the bathroom isn't exactly the most exciting room in the house, but most of us don't have one the size mansions have. We love the character in this room, not something we see a lot in our bathrooms. The striped wallpaper, the dual sinks, and the toilet in a breakaway section are great features.

Who wouldn't love to have a sunset meal in this amazing space? Large mature trees offer the right amount of shade, and the view of the Nice and Mediterranean Sea offer that view that makes this $33.87 million price tag worth every dollar. We love the wrought iron railing surrounding the space, and the decorative planters that help hide it — so it's not the whole view.
Outdoor Pool
We're accustomed to seeing giant pools at the multi-million-dollar homes of celebrities. Still, this one takes it to the next level. This iron railing offers a touch of elegance and adds that to the pool's unusual shape. It would feel like a vacation every time it was time for a swim. Also, seriously this stone archway is incredible.
Look at That View
Here we can feel why there are so many massive floor-to-ceiling windows in every room of this house. This view of the Nice and Mediterranean Sea are beautiful at any time of the day or night. We also get a glimpse at the outdoor pool that's on this property. It doesn't take away from the view at all — which is really hard to do.
An Elegant Indoor Pool
We love a good pool, and this one is so elegant and beautiful. Every detail was taken into consideration before it was put together. We love the pillars that cut through, and the many windows to ensure there's enough light coming in at all angles — and that the view from outside can be seen from anywhere in the pool.
Full Workout Room
The bottom floor of this home also houses a full workout room with equipment to work on any part of the body. Exercise while staring out at that amazing view is enough to keep even the most hesitant exerciser eager to jump on the treadmill. Also, likely was a factor in Sean living to a healthy 90 years old.
One Acre
We believe that owning land is an amazing perk to finding a home that speaks to its new owner. This space that houses the $33.8 million mansion is situated on the single acre of land.
