Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Able To ‘Speak Briefly’ to Children From Jail & Source Says They’re in ‘State of Crisis’

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been given limited contact with his children as he waits behind bar for his trail. The 54-year-old mogul was arrested on September 16 on the charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has entered a plea of not guilty but has been denied bail twice and will remain in jail until he faces a judge in October 2024. An insider of the family has shared that his children are not in a good state regarding their dad’s charges.

The source says Diddy is 'concerned' about his kids.

Diddy has seven children: sons Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, and Christian, 26, and daughters Chance, 18, twins Jessie and D’Lila, 17, and Love, 23 months. A source told People that the “Last Night” rapper has “been able to speak briefly to family members and his children via phone” while in jail.

“He is very concerned about his kids and their well-being. He has three minor children, two of whom now have no living parent available with him incarcerated,” the source said. “Four of his seven children have neither parent available with him incarcerated.”

The children are in 'shock.'

Another source of the family shared that the children are “in a state of crisis and shock” in response to their father’s arrest and charges. “It’s heartbreaking to see the children in the state they’re in,” the insider said, per People. “This is their father. But to them, he’s not Diddy — he’s Dad. He has always been a loving, devoted father.”

Diddy shared Christian and twin daughters Jessie and D’Lilav with late wife Kim Porter. She died in 2018 at the age of 47. He adopted her son, Quincy, whose biological father is Al B. Sure!. Diddy had Justin with  stylist Misa Hylton and daughter Chance with Sarah Chapman. He shares his youngest,  Love, with Dana Tran.

A source said he was desperate to speak to his kids.

On September 20, TMZ reported that sources said Diddy “desperately” wanted to speak to his children. The sources also said that the family was “leaning on each other for support” and “turning to God for guidance and strength.”

Diddy is currently on suicide watch.

The rapper is on suicide watch in a Brooklyn detention center. According to the US Department of Justice National Institute of Corrections, suicide watch is “supervisory precautions taken for suicidal inmates that require frequent observation,” People noted.
