There’s a housewife in some deep trouble. Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador was arrested and charged with DUI and a hit-and-run over the weekend in Newport Beach, California. According to TMZ, Shannon drove her car into a house, causing damage in the process — but that’s not all. She then continued to drive for a little bit before parking her car in the middle of the street and getting out with her dog, Archie. At that point, she tried to play it off like she was walking Archie, but by the time the police showed up, it was too late.

Shannon was arrested, and her car was held as evidence.
The Newport Beach police told TMZ that she was booked on two misdemeanors: DUI alcohol and hit-and-run. She was cited and released without bond.
Shannon’s lawyer, Michael Fell, told the outlet, “I spent quite a bit of time with Shannon yesterday. She is extremely apologetic and remorseful. We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
She is still reeling from her unexpected breakup.
It seems like things have been difficult for Shannon for a while. At the end of filming for season 17 of RHOC, her boyfriend of three and a half years, John Janssen, broke up with her. Earlier this year, she told People that she “was blindsided by the breakup,” though it does seem like the two have remained on friendly terms.
She had another drinking incident this year.
Over the summer, Shannon was reportedly so “wasted” that she had to be “removed” from a bar in California after getting into a screaming match with John’s daughter. But John told Page Six that she was not removed — the venue was closing and they had to leave anyway.
Shannon shared pictures of her and John having dinner together, but it’s hard to know if it was before the fight with his daughter or after.

Shannon has been called out for her drinking before.
RHOC costar Gina Kirschenheiter remarked on Shannon’s drinking during a recent episode of the show.
“Shannon says s—, and then she wants to pretend that she didn’t do it, and if you can say things that are that f—ing hurtful and not even remember you said it, you need to go f—ing check yourself into rehab,” Gina said during her confessional.
Gina's record isn't clean either.
Gina was charged with DUI back in 2019, which led her to stop drinking.
“I’m so bummed that I made such a stupid friggin’ decision to get in the damn car and drive that night. I wanted to go home. I got in the car, I should never have driven. … It’s my worst defining moment, ever,” she told People around the time of her arrest.
