
The speculation about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez going their separate ways seems to be louder than ever before, even though they were seen out and about just days ago – and apparently, people really want answers. During a press junket this week, a reporter asked J.Lo about the rumors directly, and her Atlas costar, Simu Liu, jumped in with the perfect comeback. During an awkward situation, this is the guy you want on your team!

Jennifer was in Mexico City this week, promoting her new movie.
Atlas, the Netflix action movie that also stars Simu, is set to premiere on Friday, so J.Lo and the rest of the cast have been busy promoting their new project this week. All seemed to be going well at a press junket for the movie until one reporter went a bit rogue.
One of the reporters brought up the breakup rumors.
"So Ben Affleck … is real? These rumors?" one reporter can be heard asking.
Although the crowd made a lot of disapproving noises at the question, Jennifer's smile didn't budge, and fortunately, her costar came to her rescue before she even had to say anything herself.
Simu had the perfect response ready.
"OK, we're not doing that," he can be heard saying in the background.
"You know better than that," J.Lo said, before Simu added, "Come on, don't come in here with that energy."
Then he changed the subject, and everyone moved on. He handled that so well, and Jennifer certainly looked appreciative.

Ben was noticeably absent from the 'Atlas' premiere.

Though Ben has joined Jennifer for her events in the past (including the premiere for Marry Me in 2022) he was missing when J.Lo hit the red carpet alone in Los Angeles on Monday.
What's really going on?
The divorce rumors just keep multiplying.

According to what a source told People, Ben was out to dinner with a group of friends in Santa Monica while his wife was in Mexico City without him, seemingly in great spirits.
"He seemed very relaxed and happy. Everyone chatted and seemed to enjoy," the witness said.
