John Legend & Chrissy Teigen Are Under Fire for Appearing To Kick Women Out of Photo Booth

Are John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen mean or are they just misunderstood? That’s the question people are asking after a video of the power couple went viral. In the video, John and Chrissy appear to kick a group of young women out of a photo booth at a recent party celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Chrissy was a cover girl for the special issue and was featured in the special edition Legends photo shoot. People are calling the couple out for “entitled” behavior — but is this proof of Chrissy’s mean girl behavior or a simple misunderstanding?

The interaction seems questionable in the video.

The Blast was among the first news outlets to report on a TikTok video posted by one of the women in it. She claimed that John and Chrissy “kicked us out of the photo booth after we waited 30 minutes to get pics.”

In the video (which has since been deleted) the three young women are posing for multiple pictures before John says, “We’re gonna sneak in.”

Chrissy certainly doesn't look thrilled by the whole situation.

John and Chrissy then wait in the background while the young women gather up their things. Chrissy looks somewhat annoyed while John keeps talking to her, presumably to distract her from the fact that the women are taking a while to wrap things up.

It’s also worth noting that even though the women claim to have waited for a half hour to take pictures, there’s no way of knowing how long they were in the booth.

People immediately called John & Chrissy out for their 'rude' behavior.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), where people began calling out the couple for their seemingly bad behavior.

“Entitled. Rude. Elites. No wonder no one likes them. This is just one of a string of reasons,” one reply read.

“When anyone says ‘we’re just gonna sneak in’ it’s code for sorry I’m being rude but I’m gonna do it anyways,” another tweet read.

“This is what entitlement looks like. It transcends race and religion, representing a supremacy of the ‘haves’ over the ‘have-nots’ in our world!” someone else replied.

The whole interaction leaves a lot of questions.

Others are coming to John and Chrissy’s defense, pointing out that we don’t know the whole story.

“Curious how long the girls were in there. The only way this is excusable is if they were in there for like, 20 mins lol,” one tweet stated.

“There’s always more to a story. How long were they in there taking pictures after waiting for 30mins?? I would’ve told em to wrap it up too in the nicest most assertive way,” someone else replied.

“Those women looked pretty happy to move aside. Complaining later for clout, typical,” another person said.

There was a little more to the story.

In their reporting of the incident, the Daily Mail said the claim made in the video may have been false. Some internet sleuths went digging and discovered that two of the women in the video, Vicky and Winta Zesu, who are both apparently models and social media influencers, posted photos of themselves with John from the event on their Instagram pages. In fact, Winta Zesu shared a longer video of the photo booth incident that shows the whole interaction may not have happened the way it was originally presented.
