‘Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Shares Gut-Wrenching Photos of Garrison’s Celebration of Life

The death of a young person is never easy. When that loss of life happens because of suicide, there's a whole other layer of pain for those left behind. Recently, Sister Wives star Janelle Brown shared photos from her son Garrison Brown's memorial in the wake of his untimely death.

Garrison, 25, died of apparent suicide on March 5. He was a member of the Nevada National Guard, the 1st Squadron, 221st Cavalry, to be exact. The photos from his celebration of life are beautiful but heartbreaking.

Janelle shared emotional photos from Garrison's celebration of life.

On March 30, Janelle took to Instagram with a touching message about her son's celebration of life. She also shared photos from the solemn occasion.

"Garrison was honored by family members and by his National Guard Unit last Sunday at a celebration of life ceremony," the bereaved mom wrote. "He would have loved it."

One photo in particular showed the raw emotion of that day.

As People reported, Garrison's celebration of life ceremony was held at the Clark County Armory in Las Vegas. One photo Janelle shared stood out from the others because of the raw emotion on her face.

In the image, a National Guardsman presents the bereaved mom with Garrison's burial flag as she fights back tears. Janelle's son, Hunter, and her daughter-in-law, Michelle, are also overcome with emotion in the photo.

Janelle also thanked fans for their support.

"It’s been hard to get my brain to work properly again. I am so grateful for the out pouring of love and support I’ve received these last three weeks," Janelle wrote via Instagram. "The support has been overwhelming. I am honored. So many of you shared stories of your loved ones. So many of you wrote of your thoughts and prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️"

Instagram followers reacted to the photos in the comments.

One person wrote, "Your face broke my heart – I can’t imagine what you’re feeling. Praying for you Janelle and the entire family."

Another fan shared, "Oh my heart…I am sobbing with you Janelle. One mama to another. I hope you know how many mamas are holding your heart in love and prayer right now. ❤"

Meanwhile, Christine Brown's daughter, Gwendlyn, commented, "Love you janelle! beautiful words ❤."

The following day, Janelle shared photos showing how she spent Easter.

Janelle returned to Instagram on March 31 with photos celebrating Easter. "I have been even more grateful for my faith this year," she wrote. "The remembrance of the Savior and His gift of eternal life."

The Sister Wives star shared that she spent the holiday at a North Carolina beach with her daughter, Maddie, and her grandkids.

"We were able to stream the service from Maddie’s church at home as we just didn’t feel like fighting the crowd," Janelle explained. "The weather was beautiful and the kites flew easily."
