The Spice Girls burst onto the music scene in the mid-1990s, and fans loved their cheeky blend of girl-power anthems and fun tunes to dance to. Honestly, put the song “Wannabe” on at a wedding, and we guarantee that the dance floor will still instantly fill with all of us who can still remember debating which Spice Girl we liked best when we were in high school and college. (Was there anyone who didn’t secretly wish she was a Posh after Victoria Beckham landed David Beckham?).
One of the more sentimental songs on the Spice Girl’s 1996 debut album, Spice, was a ballad called “Mama,” which was a slightly cheesy but heartfelt tribute to their own mothers. We can’t help but wonder if any of them realized at the time that they would all go on to become mothers themselves.
All five of the Spice Girls have kids now, with Victoria leading the pack with four. Sporty Spice, also known as Mel C, has one daughter named Scarlett who she raises out of the limelight and doesn’t post photos of on social media. This is a throwback and one of those pictures where we can both admire the cuteness of a boy and his mom rocking the same color hair and recognize that the rich really are different from the rest of us. Normal people do not look like that when getting through the airport with their kid! Cruz, now 18, shared this photo as part of a 2023 Mother’s Day tribute to Victoria.
Ginger & Montague
Ginger Spice, also known as Geri Halliwell, has two children and is also a stepmom. Her son with Formula 1 race car driver Christian Horner is 6-year-old Montague George Hector Horner (that is quite a name!). He clearly inherited his mom’s signature fair coloring and red hair.
Geri & Bluebell
There comes a moment in many moms’ lives when we are forced to reckon with the fact that our tiny baby is now as tall or taller than us. From the looks of this picture, Geri has already had that moment with her 16-year-old daughter, Bluebell. We’re wondering if that means Bluebell can finally raid her mom’s closet for an epic Halloween Spice Girls costume.
Beckham Family Faces
Without Brooklyn in the picture, we think we’ll put Cruz (standing next to Victoria) down as the kid who most closely resembles her. Harper really does look more like David. Romeo, who currently plays professional soccer, seems to be a good mixture of his two parents.
Emma & Beau
Baby Spice, whose real name is Emma Bunton, has two children with husband Jade Jones (the couple married in July 2021). Her eldest son, who shares her sunny smile and the rest of her face, is a 15-year-old named Beau. (Younger son Tate turns 12 in May 2023.) The two really do look like clones!
Mel B & Madi
Mel B, forever Scary Spice in our hearts, has three children. She shares daughter Madi, age 11, with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte. Mel and Madi seem to be a tight duo who both look alike and share completely gorgeous heads of curly hair.
