Just two months after speaking out about her battle with infertility as she and husband Todd Kapostasy tried to conceive their first child, Tara Lipinski is finally a mom. On Wednesday morning, Tara revealed that she has welcomed a baby girl via surrogate. And not only is she sharing the first photos of her little one, but she's also opening up about what this major milestone is like to her — and what she thinks about new motherhood so far. This is one lucky baby!

Tara's daughter is finally here.
While talking to Today, Tara revealed that her baby girl's name is Georgie Winter Lipinski Kapostasy — a long name for such a tiny girl, but she and Todd have already nicknamed her "Gigi."
"I snuck in 'Lipinski' as a third middle name. 'Winter' for the nod to figure skating," she said.
She was in the delivery room when her baby was born.
If you've been following Tara's journey on social media, you already know that her surrogate has been keeping her involved every step of the way, including bringing her along to doctor's appointments, and that didn't change on the day of Gigi's birth.
"My doctor had me playing my favorite song and I'm bawling because I think there was just so much relief of, 'Is this five-year journey over?'" she said. "And then immediately, the baby is out, screaming, and on my chest and we're doing skin-to-skin and it was one of those moments like, 'How did my life just change so quickly and is this a dream? Because it feels like it.'"
Now, she's excited for even the tough parts of being a new mom.
Talking to People, Tara said this is "the best tired I've ever been."
"A crying baby, sleepless nights. Even when I'm like, 'Okay, take an hour nap,' I'm almost too excited. I'm like, 'She's there. Just watch her a little longer,'" she told the magazine.

She says that during this time, her marriage has only become stronger.
After going through such a lengthy infertility battle with Todd, which could easily put strain on the strongest of marriages, Tara said it's only brought them closer together.
"It gave us time to figure out how to support each other. I would have loved for us to not have gone through all this. But now, I can't imagine it any other way," she said.
Congratulations to this new mom!
She's certainly been through a lot over the past several years, but now, she finally gets to enjoy her beautiful baby girl. We can't wait for more updates on baby Georgie and this time in Tara's life as a first time mom. It goes by way too quickly!
