The 66th annual Grammy Awards were held Sunday night, and as many predicted, it was a big night for Taylor Swift. Not only did she surprise the audience (and fans watching at home) by announcing a brand new album, The Tortured Poets Department, but she also took home the biggest award of the night: Album of the Year. The Grammy was presented to her by the legendary singer Celine Dion, which was an incredible moment in itself – but not everyone is happy with the way Taylor handled it.

Celine surprised the crowd by appearing at the Grammys.
Since Celine revealed that she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome in 2022, she's postponed her highly anticipated tour, and it's rare to see her out and about.
But she clearly made an exception for this year's Grammy awards, when she presented Album of the Year to Taylor for Midnights.
The interaction between Celine and Taylor on stage is giving people pause.
As an artist who has won the same award herself, it seemed to be an especially meaningful moment for Celine, who said, "Those who have been blessed enough to be here at the Grammy Awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world."
Celine was the one to hand the award to Taylor when she came up on stage to accept, but this is where many say things went wrong.
Taylor is already getting some major backlash online.
Many took to X to tweet their feelings — and these are some pretty strong feelings we're talking about here.
"Taylor Swift just took the album of the year trophy from Celine Dion without batting an eye and acknowledging that a legendary was handing her the award. This woman is disgusting," one person tweeted.
Another person added, "Taylor Swift ignoring very sick legend Celine Dion during the Grammys while accepting Album of the Year. Wow. Classless personified."
Others came to her defense.
Some even pointed out that, due to her condition, Taylor may have been advised against touching Celine on stage at all.
"There’s a chance that Taylor (who is an aggressive hugger lol) was told not to touch Celine due to her syndrome. That’s why she probably waited until backstage. Taylor was also distracted right in the middle of getting the award from Celine. Give her a break," read one tweet.

All seems to be well between Celine and Taylor.
After the awards, Taylor and Celine posed for a photo together backstage where they were both all smiles, so no matter what the reason for their exchange (or lack thereof), there doesn't seem to be any drama here.
Congratulations to Taylor, who made history by becoming the first person to win Album of the Year four times. Is she going to go for number five?
