15 Fall 2023 Pop Culture Moments We’re So Excited For

Fall means the return of so many wonderful things: chunky scarves, delicious lattes, and the blissful feeling of not having to deal with underboob sweat all day long. Although it might be a few more weeks before sweaty boob season is really over, we can distract ourselves by checking in on the fall 2023 pop culture scene. The good news is that there is so much good stuff to look forward to this fall, including new music from some of our favorite artists and the return of some of the wackiest housewives on TV!

Unfortunately, the ongoing writer's strike means that some of our favorite TV shows might not be back for a while (anyone else dying for some more Janine and Gregory action on Abbott Elementary??), but thankfully there is still plenty of already completed content and reality programming to keep us entertained on those cozy fall nights. Here's what we're looking forward to.

The Return of the RHOSLC

OK, so first of all, we're dying at the bonkers trailer for this season and SO curious to see if the mystery of the black eye ever gets solved! The next season of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City drops September 5, and it looks like a really spicy season.

'1989 (Taylor's Version)'

Taylor Swift was inescapable this summer (we're not mad at it!) and although her tour will have moved on this fall, we predict that Taylor mania will be back in full force when she releases 1989 (Taylor's Version) on October 27. The album will feature five new songs we can't wait to obsess over!

Britney's Book

Let's keep it honest here: We're kinda worried about Britney again, given the recent announcement that she'd going through a divorce. We're also curious to see what tea she's going to spill when her memoir The Woman in Me comes out October 24. It's sure to be a bestseller, but we just hope Britney has some good supports around her with even more public attention than usual.

Loki's Back!

Marvel fans (or fans of Taylor Swift ex-boyfriends) will be psyched for the return of the Disney+ series Loki on October 6. The second season features Thor's troublemaking brother solving another time related mystery with the help of Owen Wilson's Mobius and some interesting new characters as well.

A Creepy Mystery

Fall is the perfect time for letting ourselves get a little scared, and the trailer for the movie version of the Agatha Christie classic A Haunting in Venice looks excellent. We love a good mystery and anything with the always excellent Michelle Yeoh sounds good to us. The film comes out September 15.

Frightful Five Nights

People who really enjoy a scare, especially around Halloween, are looking forward to the jump scares and animatronic creepiness of the Five Nights at Freddy's movie. This one debuts in theaters and streams on the Peacock network on October 27.

Serena's New Baby

Serena Williams and her husband Alexis are one of our favorite celebrity couples. How can we not love a guy who is so clearly over the moon to be a husband and a dad? Just ahead of fall, Serena gave birth to their second child, another girl, and we can't wait to see if their daughters eventually become doubles partners!

Kim K, the Actress?

We're not sure if we're really looking forward to it or if we're more curious to see if it is a cringe fest, but we'll be turning into see Kim Kardashian's role on the upcoming season of American Horror Story. The show, which also stars Emma Roberts, drops on Hulu on September 20.

Kourtney's Baby Name

We're not totally sure when Kourtney Kardashian Barker and husband Travis's little bundle of joy will be arriving. We kind of hope it will happen around September 20, mostly because we love some petty drama and we know Kim K. would be SO annoyed to have her thunder stolen. We're also eager to find out what Kourtney and Travis will name the little boy and how long it will take them to tell us. Please don't pull a Kylie!

Olivia Gets Gutsy

It has been more than two years since Olivia Rodrigo's smash debut album Sour came out, so we know that the tweens and teens in our live are beyond ready for some new music from the former Disney channel star. As moms who blasted Good For You in the carpool lane, we're ready for more angry girl music.

Feel Good Soccer Returns

Welcome to Wrexham is such a heartwarming and funny show. We love seeing Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's adventures as they watch their Welsh soccer (err, football) team try to climb the rankings and revitalize the town that loves them. The second season of the show premieres on Hulu on September 12.

'The Bachelor' Gets a Senior Citizen Discount

We're not totally sure if The Golden Bachelor, starring a 72-year-old widowed grandfather named Gerry, will be sweet or totally embarrassing, but we're definitely going to turn into a few episodes to find out! The show begins in September on ABC.

All About Dolly

Not only does Dolly Parton have a new album coming out this fall (her 49th!), but she's also releasing a book called Behind the Seams, which is she shares is "a look at my life in costume and hair, and get to know some of the wonderful people that have helped shape my life and look". The book will be out in October and her Rockstar album will follow in November.

Our Favorite French Thief Returns

Lupin, which streams on Netflix, is a French show (subtitles or English dubbing are both options) that features a handsome thief we can't help rooting for and a mystery filled with twists and turns. The first two seasons were excellent, so this is a perfect time to binge them before season three comes out on October 5.

Fall Chemistry Lessons

Book clubs everywhere loved Lessons in Chemistry, so we're guessing interest will be high for the Apple TV series based on the bestseller by Bonnie Garmus. The show stars Brie Larson as Elizabeth Zott and debuts on October 13.
