Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are officially ending their marriage. Nine months after they first announced that they were separating, Tori finally filed the papers to make their split permanent. The official filing came mere days after Tori and Dean were spotted having a tense and very public conversation. Things have been rough for the couple since June, with Tori and their kids bouncing from home to home for various reasons. Dean also opened up in an interview about his addictions and how they affected his marriage and the family.

Tori finally had enough.
In the divorce filing, Tori listed the couple’s date of separation as June 17, 2023, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for divorce. She is requesting joint legal custody of their five children: Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn, and Beau. Tori is also asking for sole physical custody of the kids, with Dean having visitation, which would be determined at a later date.
She wants Dean to pay.
When it comes to money, Tori is asking that Dean pay spousal support as well as her attorney’s fees for the divorce. There was no mention of a prenuptial agreement in the petition for divorce, and Tori stated that her separate assets have yet to be determined. She also stated that she and Dean have yet to determine their "community property."

The estranged couple had an intense encounter recently.
Earlier this week, Tori and Dean were spotted in Los Angeles at a storage unit having a tense conversation that left Tori in tears. While it seemed that things between the estranged pair had been on good terms so far, it didn’t seem that way during their meeting. At one point, Tori looked like she was screaming as she held her arms out at her side. Dean then seemed like he had to take a break, resting against a fence in what looked like an attempt to cool off.
Tori was then spotted crying in her car.
The fight seemed to continue as Tori unloaded bags from her car. At one point, she threw both of the bags, but she didn’t hit Dean with them. As they started to calm down, Tori sat in the trunk of her car alone, looking dejected. Dean inched his way closer to her in an attempt to defuse the moment and keep talking. Later, Tori was seen bursting into tears.
Things seemed good between them before.
Despite the tense interaction, Dean has been nothing but complimentary to the mother of his children amid their split and his sobriety journey.
"You know, she just wants me to be happy. Bottom line," he told Page Six. "And she’s such an incredible woman that way. She’s one of the most generous people I’ve ever met in my life."
