If you don’t understand how Travis Kelce ended up in a relationship with Taylor Swift, you’re not alone. The NFL player doesn’t know how he managed to become the superstar’s boyfriend either! On a new episode of their podcast, Travis and his brother Jason Kelce talked about the effect that his relationship with Taylor has had on him and his life since they started dating in the fall. He and Taylor have been having a good time together and making the most of their downtime now that the football season is over and Taylor has a break from her tour.

Travis is having fun with his newfound popularity.
On the most recent episode of Travis and Jason’s podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Jason told their guest, rapper Lil Dicky, that the podcast suddenly has "a lot of new fans called Swifties," prompting Lil Dicky to ask the brothers how Travis and Taylor’s relationship has changed things for them.
Travis said he's "having a blast in life, baby," adding, "Just flying high, enjoying it all. Bringing new lives to the football world and opening up the football world up to new things."
Lil Dicky made a cool comparison.
Lil Dicky made an interesting observation about Taylor and Travis' relationship.
"I think there’s just something that makes everyone feel like the world is like high school, where your most popular pop star beloved musician somehow met your most popular beloved athlete and they actually fell in love and it’s just real. Anyone who hates on it is a bitter loser," he said.
Travis laughed at the comparison, saying, "I appreciate it, man."
Travis is amazed that he landed Taylor.
"I don’t know how I did it because she wasn’t into sports, so I don’t know how the f— I did it," Travis admitted.
Lil Dicky quickly took the opportunity to remind Travis that he called Taylor out on a podcast in September 2023, saying that he had invited her to check out one of his games, and "threw the ball in her court" after he saw her perform at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium in July during her Eras Tour.
"No, I know exactly how I did it," Travis laughed.
Taylor was clearly into him.
Later in September, Taylor started popping up at Travis’ football games, getting friendly with his mom Donna. The pair confirmed their relationship the following month when they were seen leaving the Saturday Night Live after party holding hands. Taylor then became a regular fixture at Kansas City Chiefs games, making friends with everyone, right up until February’s Super Bowl game.

Everybody is into Travis.
While Travis may not understand how he landed Taylor, Lil Dicky apparently gets the footballer’s appeal. During the podcast, Jason called out Lil Dicky admitting that he would date Travis if he was a woman, and he didn't deny it!
"I was like, ‘I totally get it,'" he shared. "I was like … 'He’s exactly who I would go for. He’s the best at all time at his position. He’s seemingly the nicest, sweetest, funniest, classic, cool guy … It’s unreasonable to be this talented.'"
Travis seemed touched by the sentiment, saying, "Dude, what? You said this? I’m honored."
