Since his first cheating scandal unfolded right before the birth of their daughter, True, in 2018, Tristan Thompson and Khloé Kardashian have been through a lot together. Even though they've now settled into a peaceful coparenting relationship and friendship, it doesn't mean that Tristan's transgressions are truly in the past. In fact, Tristan is worried about how his kids will feel when they find out about his past infidelity — he's even concerned that they might be "embarrassed" by him.

Tristan says that the last few years have been a big learning experience for him.
On this week's episode of The Kardashians, Tristan reflected on what his cheating scandal over the last few years has taught him. Not only was he caught in a bind with Kylie Jenner's former BFF, Jordyn Woods, right before True's birth, but he also admitted to fathering a child with Maralee Nichols while he and Khloé were expecting their second son, Tatum, via surrogate.
"It wasn't until I really had to look at myself. I never had to hold myself accountable. We're taught, 'Be the man, do what you please, bros before hoes …' You gotta just be your own man and don't care what people think and don't feel like you have to get validation from others," he said.
Now that his kids are getting older, he's worried about what they'll think of him.
"True is understanding stuff and Prince understands things where they go to school and they have classmates. The last thing I ever want them to do is feel embarrassed that I'm their father," Tristan said. "I think going down this journey that I've been on, especially with losing my mom, I always ask myself, 'Why do certain things to hurt certain people?'"
Tristan is now dad to four children: Prince, 6, with ex Jordan Craig; True, 5, and Tatum, 1, with Khloé; and Theo, 1, with Maralee.
Khloé admitted that what Tristan did to her was 'traumatic.'
"What happened between Tristan and I was not some small little incident. It was some massive situation that really was a very traumatic experience for me in my life, so I'm not going to forget it," she said. "But I'm so proud that I'm able to be kind and mature and show my children that mommy and daddy can coexist and be co-parents."

Tristan is living with Khloé while his house undergoes renovations.
On the episode, Khloé admitted that she was ready to have her space back, though she was willing to concede that Tristan had been a good guest.
"You're super helpful and you're great with the kids. Trust me, I appreciate it, Khloé said.
After all they've been through, Khloé and Tristan seem to be in a good place.
And Tristan is right — eventually, the time will come when his children will find out about his past. Here's hoping he is prepared to handle it when True starts asking questions, because there's a very good chance that moment may end up coming sooner than he might think.
