Last week, Prince Harry was named a Living Legend of Aviation at the 21st annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Los Angeles. He was presented with the honor by actor John Travolta, who once famously danced with his mother, Princess Diana. And while that would be enough to talk about, people on social media chose to focus on the picture of the two alongside Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his partner Lauren Sanchez.
In the photo, the Duke of Sussex seems to tower over John, despite them reportedly being nearly the same height.

Something about the photo John shared looks off.
“I was so proud to host Prince Harry, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez at Living Legends of Aviation awards event Friday night. Congrats to both Prince Harry and Lauren on their awards!!” John captioned the Instagram photo.
John later turned comments off on the picture, likely because people were leaving rude comments about Harry on his other posts.
They may have once been close to the same height, but it doesn't seem that way anymore.
In the photo, Harry seems to tower over everyone next to him, which is surprising. According to various internet sources, John Travolta is 6’2”, while Prince Harry is listed as 6’1”. Jeff Bezos is apparently 5’7”, and he and John seem around the same height in the photo.
Trolls on social media created the hashtag #highheelsharry.
The picture is making the rounds, and people on X (formerly Twitter) are trying to say that Harry wore shoes with some sort of lift or higher heel to make him appear to be that much taller, OK! Magazine reported.
“So John Travolta is one inch taller than Harry but it doesn't look like it from this photo #highheelsharry,” one tweet reads.
“How is 6’-1” prince harry towering over 6’-2” john travolta?????” another questioned, while someone else wrote, “John Travolta is approximately 6'1". Harry is 6'2". This pic is a little out of whack.”
So yeah, the whole thing has people throwing shade at Harry, but it's important to remember that John is approaching 70 years old, and people do often get shorter as they age.
John is a 'big supporter' of Harry's because of his late mom.
Height difference or not, John was one of the biggest reasons Harry received the award in the first place — insiders called him one of Harry’s “biggest supporters.”
“Harry's name was put forward because of his astonishing commitment to helping those in and out of the military, promoting awareness of the triumphs and travails of that life,” the source told the Mirror. “Of course, John was an advocate for Harry and supported his nomination. He has always felt a connection to him, especially because he and Diana enjoyed that moment of pop culture history by dancing at the White House.”

Harry also gave John a good-natured teasing.

Prince Harry teased John about that pop culture moment as he accepted the award.
“I was one year old when you danced with my mum. As you’ve told everybody here and continue to dine out on that probably every single night. But look at us now! It’s great. So if we’re not going to dance together, we’ll fly together,” he said to John.
