Usher’s Oldest Son Cinco Just Turned 16 & He’s His Dad’s Twin in New Birthday Pics

Usher is celebrating his eldest son in a big way. The proud celebrity dad shouted out his namesake, Usher Raymond V, who goes by Cinco, on stage over the weekend. Usher shared videos with his Instagram followers, including one of the teen’s 16th birthday celebration, as well as a sweet video of himself wishing his son a happy birthday to mark the occasion. But even when it's not a big day in his family, Usher still seems to be enjoying his during his Las Vegas residency, charming the fans who come to see his show.

Usher upped his performance game in honor of his son.

"This is a special night to me because my firstborn was born tonight. It's Cinco's birthday and I dedicated this performance to him which is why I was going so hard," he announced to the crowd in the first video.

"Happy super sixteen to my firstborn @cincoye we celebrating U in ATL & Vegas," he captioned the post.

Cinco's mom poked fun at her son for his birthday.

Of course, Cinco also shared an Instagram post about his birthday, letting his followers see snaps from his celebration. The photos included one that featured his superstar dad, too, which prompted his mom — Usher's ex, Tameka Foster — to comment, "No pictures of your mom, huh? SMH."

As a parent, is there anything more satisfying than teasing your teenager where his friends will see it?

Usher makes an effort to be a present dad for his kids.

Despite being incredibly busy with his Vegas residency (among other projects), the singer made it clear that he understands what it takes to maintain close relationships with Cinco and his siblings, Naviyd Ely, 14, Sovereign Bo, 3, and Sire Castrello, 2.

"I try my hardest to base my schedule around the time that they're not in school," he said during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show last year. "My youngest, the 1- and 2-year-olds, they're here [in Las Vegas], while my two boys are now less interested in spending time with me, oddly. Unless I'm taking them to a concert or paying for something they want."

His kids don't care about his fame, but they like the benefits.

During his appearance on the show, Tamron asked Usher if his kids know that he’s a famous singer. He explained that while they are aware their dad is a big deal, "they don't care." When pressed, he said that while his little ones, who are toddlers, aren’t that invested, that’s not the case with the bigger ones.

"They enjoy it," he said.

Cinco loves his dad, but doesn't love having his name.

However, he did say that Cinco kind of rejects his identity as Usher Raymond V. "I have one son, Cinco, who does not like to be called Usher, who tries to get away from it," he told Tamron at the time. "Then another son, Naviyd, who really loves entertainment."

Apparently, Naviyd is jealous that his older brother got the family name. "You didn't need it," he said. "Usher got it. You got Naviyd. How many Naviyds do you know?"

Good point!
