Jada opened up about their separation during an interview that aired last week.

In an interview with Hoda Kotb for NBC News, Jada spoke out about the reveal she made in her memoir that she and Will have been separated (but still legally married) for the past seven years. She said by 2016, they were both "exhausted" with trying to make things work, and at this point, they live "completely separate lives."

"I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be," she said.

This news threw fans for a loop, but what does Will think about all this?

Will spoke out about Jada's confession.

In an email to The New York Times, Will wrote that reading Jada's memoir woke him up to what his longtime partner has really experienced.

"When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties," he shared.

He seems to be taking time for himself right now.

On Sunday, he shared a video to his Instagram feed that showed him sound asleep on a boat. "Fun fact about me. I can take a nap almost anywhere," reads text in the video.

He added a cheeky caption that seems to poke fun at the media hoopla that's been going on around his family over the last few days: "Notifications off."

Jada has been taking more steps to separate their lives even further.

While talking to the Times, Jada revealed that she recently moved out of her shared family home with Will and bought a home of her own. But still, it doesn't sound like they plan to divorce in the traditional sense — at least, not any time soon.

"We wanted to create a family we never had, and we did that. And we enjoy our family. For us, our marriage is like a cornerstone of that for now. Who knows in 10 years," she said. "We’ve tried everything to get away from each other, and we just don’t."

Now, it looks like their journey as a family is continuing.

It seems Jada is open to her relationship with Will evolving — and now that these big reveals about their personal lives have been made public, maybe it will. For now, their arrangement, though untraditional, certainly seems to be working for them.
