Former soap opera actor Jordi Vilasuso and his family are facing a terrible situation that many families know too well, especially around this time of year. The former Young and the Restless star and his wife Kaitlin took to Instagram to share that their youngest daughter, Lucy, has been admitted to the hospital with RSV only weeks after her birth. Now, the couple is sharing updates on Lucy’s condition as they ask for prayers.

Lucy was born premature, which will only complicate her illness.
Jordi and his wife announced Lucy’s birth at 35 weeks gestation in December. But much more recently, they took to Instagram again to share in a joint post that Lucy had been admitted to the hospital earlier that week and diagnosed with RSV, letting their followers know that she had been moved to the NICU because of a "partially collapsed right lung."
The family asked their followers to pray for their newborn.
"Ah friends … we come to you coveting your prayers yet again. I feel like all I do is ask you all for prayers or thank you for prayers," the post’s caption began.
In the first picture Lucy is shown close up with tubes hooked up to her nose and mouth. The second picture is a shot of her in her hospital crib.
They're hoping for 'healing' for their little girl.
"I am still struggling to believe this as I type," Kaitlin wrote in the caption. "Please please pray with us for miraculous healing for Lucy’s precious little body. We love her so much and just want her home and happy and in our arms."

Kaitlin shared updates on Lucy's condition.

In her Instagram Stories, Kaitlin shared a picture of Lucy wrapped in blankets in her hospital crib with her hand on her pacifier. "This little hand," she wrote alongside a prayer hands emoji, adding, "hi sweet baby."
She also shared a photo of her and Jordi with their two older daughters Riley and Everly. "Thankful for family bedtime prayers for the first time since all of this happened … anxious to have the littlest hands in our circle back home," she wrote over the photo.
Slowly but surely, little Lucy seems to be improving.
Kaitlin shared another update on her Instagram feed. In two of the photos, she is cradling Lucy to her chest while she sleeps, and in the other her dad is smiling down at her in her crib.
"Our little Lucy is proving to be quite the little fighter. The biggest praise report is that the x-ray of her lungs looked significantly better than the one they took the night she was transferred to the NICU- PRAISE GOD," she wrote.
Here's hoping Lucy continues to recover quickly!
